Struggling to regulate emotions
Hi all,I am aware that after a frontal lobe TBI emotions get confused but is this usual 4 years down the road?? After a TBI in early 2018 my Husband displayed something of a personality change and having read a lot about his incident we understood what to kind of expect. He would manically laugh or suddenly

First post in around two years
I just thought I would drop in and say hi, and good to see some familiar names still around. For six months when I was here previously I tried my best to assist and support others and their queries as a survivor and have continued to do so elsewhere but to a more limited extent. Covid being less

Early Christmas Gift š
I had a real blessing last night!I dreamed about my late grandmother (who was British and helped to raise me). As I saw her, we walked toward each other and she had a big precious smile on her face! Before I reached her, I knew it was a dream, but I woke up with such JOY ššš She loved the holidays

Home dialysis question
Has anyone had experience with both
home
hemodialysis
and peritoneal dialysis? If so, what were the pros and cons for each.

colonoscopy fear.
Can anyone tell me why you canāt have a general anaesthetic to have a colonoscopy? I have asked the Doctor this and he said well you can be sedated. But this is not what I want. He said they need you slightly awake to listen to their instructions to move your leg etc. I think this is rubbish.America

Coping with a Vestibular Disorder
āSupermarket Syndromeā For many people with a vestibular disorder, a trip to the grocery store can turn into a battle with dizziness. The lights, rows of shelves, and crowds of people can trigger symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, and light-headedness. If this is something you struggle with, this

PKD ESRD on dialysis 4 years
I am looking to switch to
home
hemodialysis
but have to work out several things before this can happen. I feel I canāt take one more day of dialysis in center. Sometimes I would just quit if I didnāt have a 29 year old son I need to stay alive for.

Iāve been going pretty well on my three weekly TCZ injections and have managed to get down to 0.5mgs pred after a couple of hiccups ā¦ itās taken over 2 years to get here. I remained on 0.75mgs for 3 weeks, timed with TCZ dose, but now Iām really nervous about the next drop. I feel fine, should I drop

Cannot be bothered syndrome!
Hi, Having reduced my pred dose from 20mg, i have been on 7mg for 3 weeks. I had some initial tiredness and sugar craving. That seemed to improve but have been having some low mood and cannot be bothered syndrome and get around to it tomorrow. Is this a common symptom and does it pass? Thanks I

Imposter syndrome
Please excuse me, feel a bit embarrassed having to bring this up, but was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar to myself. I fell 30 feet 40 years ago, suffered a period of unconsciousness, amnesia both pre and post fall, couple of months hospital in-patient admission, speech and physiotherapies

12 year old boy still having night time accidents
My son is 12 and has always had trouble with wetting himself. He took ages to be consistently dry during the day but never had any trouble with that now. I think he just didnāt want to take time out of his day to go to the toilet! Grew out of daytime wetting by the time he was about 8. He often wets
