hi every one I hope everyone is good and enjoying life

I have a question my hubby had a hypoxic brain injury 2years ago I really would want to go on a holiday to Turkey for a week with hubby but I'm not sure if people who have had a hypoxic brain injury can travel in a aeroplane

I really want a holiday life is getting very depressing doing the same thing in and out maybe its time for a holiday somewhere out of England to just chill out

is it dangerous for the injured person to travel?

Hello I had a tbi not hypoxic but enough damage done to be put in a coma and luckier still to wake and get a second chance at life.My accident was the year before covid and the hospital said no flying for a year.So last year was the first time I could fly to the place I like in Turkey because of covid so because I couldn't go for the equivalent of 3 years I went twice in May and October. I had no issues my dr said it was fine to go,I let Jet2 know I had brain injuries and might need assistance I got medical travel insurance just in case and made sure I popped on my headway badge with sunflower lanyard that really does help getting through the airport.Speak to your dr regarding your husband ,for me to go on holiday again was great I nearly felt positively normal, good luck

That's how I felt I needed to go on holiday as I had before I had my accident. Speak to the dr to settle your fears ,the medical travel insurance is really important too but I had no issues with the flying or travel to and from the hotel and at the time of my accident I had 4 different brain haemorrages, I think it's just the fear factor but then you'll never know till you try it,I've got my fingers crossed for you x
