I would like to reduce further and although I need to up the HRT dose, which may help. I am considering trying Magnesium. Any advice would as always be gratefully

Hello I'm new here
My other problem is I need a
hip
replacement
. My left
hip
is bone on bone and I've worn a grove in one part that causes a clicking sound when I walk. Plus walking is painful. My ortho wants me to lose more weight but won't say how much or what he is looking for.

The Carbon fiber AFO snapped when I stepped off the edge of a sidewalk, many little pieces of carbon fiber were stuck down into the ankle and lower leg, leg &ankle are patched up, STRONGER

Still in pain
In my last post I was getting stressed about having a flare whilst trying to reduce from 7 to 6.5 mg simply because I am due to go into Hospital at the end of April for a
hip
replacement
.. I followed advice and went back up to 11mg for 7days then back down to 7mg but it hasn’t really worked.

"Honeymoon phase" in Hypothyroidism?
After a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes (an autoimmune condition), there is often a “honeymoon phase” where a small percentage of the pancreatic beta cells continue to produce insulin for a period lasting from a few weeks, several months, to as much as 1-2 years. This honeymoon period continues until the

Transplantable human thyroid organoids generated from embryonic stem cells to rescue hypothyroidism
This is another paper about the possibility of effectively re-growing thyroid glands. I've had a quick read (it has lots of complex detail so it very hard going). The issue not addressed, so far as I can see, is the applicability of this approach in those with the predominant thyroid disease

Endo and mega high levels of oestradiol...
My cognitive issues/brain fog/inability to learn new info/feeling confused and forgetful; they are getting worse and worse. I thought these would be menopausal but my blood tests today show that I am not menopausal at all. How can this be? My oestradiol levels are 1888 pmol/L and FSH is 6.8iu/L and LH

Suggestions for first neurologist appt
I had
hip
replacement
in Jan and RLS was a nightmare. I have since cut Mirapex dose in half and GP prescribed 900 mg gabapentin . Nothing helping much! What should I ask neurologist when I see him next month. It took a months to get an appointment , so I don’t want to waste it.

AF and knee surgery
Hello! I wonder if anyone can help… it looks like I need a knee replacement, and as I have AF I know the procedure would be done with a spinal block rather than general anaesthetic. However, I just wondered if anyone has experience of AF and knee surgery, and if so any advice/information would be much

Rant!
I had possibly the worst GP appointment today in my life. His English was not good, combined with a lisp, it was virtually impossible to understand his questions. I finally sussed out that "blith" was blood. I had the results back from some blood work at a hospital (took 50 days to get the results

knee surgery and Atrial Fibrillation
hello, it looks like I’m in need of a knee replacement and wondered if anyone with A Fib has experience of this. I’m aware it would be carried out with a spinal block rather than a general anaesthetic, but has anyone had any problems post surgery? Thanks!
