My cognitive issues/brain fog/inability to learn new info/feeling confused and forgetful; they are getting worse and worse. I thought these would be menopausal but my blood tests today show that I am not menopausal at all. How can this be? My oestradiol levels are 1888 pmol/L and FSH is 6.8iu/L and LH 25.7 iu/L. If these are not menopausal, what are they? Has anyone had the same experience where your oestrodial levels are high but you are still menopausal and have you taken HRT? I have been taking Utrogestan for a month now 100mgs before bed and my endo pain has stopped and I sleep better but my cognitive issues and IBS (severe flatulance) are awful (because of the high 'toxic' oestrogen?) How can this be treated?? Is there a treatment for high oestrogen levels??? I have a remaining ovary with a new endometrioma and bowel adhesions. Had a hysterectomy in 2019 and no hormone treatment until now with the Utrogestan... Does anyone have any tips or similar stories and treatments... I'd be so grateful if you can share it. Thank you!

Endo and mega high levels of oestradiol...
Hi SOnrisa (smile!),
Thanks for trying to reply! So how high are your oestrogen levels now? As you say that they must have always been lower than average... You say your IBS has been worse since stopping Utrogestan and having your period. That could be because IBS might be linked to high oestrogen levels as you start your period and progesterone levels drop. That would make sense. I used to have horrid IBS when approaching my period and during it. Now I have no womb that is why I am taking Utrogestan every day but only 100mgs. I wonder if I should take 200mgs. I am hoping to speak to my endo specialist soon as my GP had no idea what to advice... Why are you on HRT if you still have periods??
This sounds like it could also be post viral fatigue. Just thought I'd put it out there as I know Endo can cause extreme fatigue too, but this sounds like it's on an extra level. I had all the symptoms you describe after I had COVID last year. Has your gp considered looking at other causes for these symptoms?
