Apparently I don’t qualify for an MRI or X-ray at this stage and a hip replacement is in the distant future so her advice is to manage the pain. Bearing in mind I’m on anticoagulants I’m very restricted on what I can take so can anyone in a similar situation offer any advice .

For those struggling with arthritic pain , you might be glad to hear that research is being done into making knee and hip replacement ops possible on a day care basis for the fittest. Which might in time reduce the long waiting lists. Nice to hear some optimistic news for the future.

how has people managed if they have had trouble doing exercises 2 weeks after hip replacement, lifting operated leg up, I simply cannot lift, it’s a dead weight also the exercise you push leg out on bed that won’t move out.? Help…

I have had a complete hip replacement operation on 1st July. Since the my RLS has gone mad my foot twisting like a crazy windmill. I was given a ferritin infusion but it is still mad. I see Oxycodone may be causing this is there any alternative?

I was due to have my hip replacement on 17th August, got to the hospital saw all the relevant people. A Dr came to put an arrow on my leg and asked me how long had i had the scratch on my hip ? I told him i wan not aware i had one !

Also, I had a hip replacement in Novemebr 2022, and I always have leg pain. I will ask my surgeon once i have the results if this is something that could hurt me as far as falling and it will continue to cause me pain.
