Just sharing some good news. For the past several years, I've had leg/hip pain which forced me to slow down on many activities - hiking, biking, horseback riding, or just walking along with friends. I felt my life was shrinking.
It was my hip for sure but it was also unclear whether MS was contributing as well as my left leg bothered me too with pain.
10 months after a right hip replacement and patiently exercising and also bringing back my horse to work, I was able this weekend to join a group riding lesson with my friends like in the good old days. This made me sooo happy.
Not everything is perfect. I know I have foot drop after walking 20+min. I feel it when I ride but I'm working on rebuilding muscles in my left leg, ankle, and foot to minimize it.
Never give up!
