Steroids
My friend is on 65mg of pred. steroids. I read that he needs a low salt and low fat diet. Also he needs to eat foods with potassium and he should take Vitamin D. Should he speak to his GP even though the steroids are being managed by his neurologist? Or should he buy over the counter Vitamin D etc?

hypothyroidism ?
I’ve not felt myself for awhile . Heavy more frequent periods , tiredness , not losing weight all of a sudden ( when I had bariatric surgery ). Had private blood tests which showed higher than normal levels of prolactin and low folate levels . Vitamin D was fine probably because I’m taking high strength

Am I being stupid by delaying treatment for mild hyperthyroidism when I don't have any symptons?
Very many thanks to all who responded and maybe I am being stupid as most idd recommend the use of carbimazole. There was however comments from some who had adverse effects, and as I have no symptoms at present, my concern at my age (72) is to remain active now, bearing in mind my husband's health

Hello , Thank you in advance for any one who takes time to look at this post and advise me So as you know I am newly diagnosed Hashimotos. vitamin sprays
I see the vitamin D spray come highly recommended. But is it worth using a spray for other vitamins and minerals? There seems to be one for iron, methylfolate, B12 etc.

Help interpreting my blood results please!
Following a blood test in February my GP told me to drop the 100mcg to 75mcg as I was 'overmedicated' I have found it increasingly hard to lose any weight at all, and have been tired and listless,so I bought a Medichecks test and these are the results. 19 Apr 2023 TSH 7.69mIU/L 0.27 - 4.2 Abnormal

Help with results please!
Did blood test with Medichecks - have attached results and would really appreciate advice. My TSH has historically been suppressed as it’s the only way I feel well. GP agreed to this after I saw endocrinologist who said it wasn’t a problem. Am wondering if should request dose increase (I’m already on

Currently on 125mcg Levothyroxine. I still have typical hypo symptoms, shiver below 23C, brittle nails, dry skin, wayward metabolism. I have an endo appointment (NHS) in August, though I don't expect much from it as it's the same guy who I last was meant to see who wrote me before I'd even seen him that

Optimum
I’m UAT and take 1 grain Armour Thyroid am and 3/4 pm with vitamin D, K2 , Mg and B Complex. I’m also on Oestrogel and Utrogestan. TSH is suppressed due to long term T3. What is actually considered optimum levels for T4 and T3 - also vitamin D? Consultant (private) reduced my AT dose by 1/4 grain
