Hashimotos?
I have had elevated TSH for about 10 years and my GP did not seem very keen to do anything. I got a monitor my health test on the 12/9/23 and advanced thyroid check with Medichecks on the 11/10/23. magnesium
Can anyone advise when is the best time to take magnesium? I currently take Ferrous Fumarate in the morning on an empty stomach with a glass of orange juice. With breakfast I take 75 mg Sertraline plus Vitamin B complex and Vitamin D. At lunchtime I take Thyroxine as it has to be taken 4 hours apart

Travel Insurance
Hi I’m in the UK and wondering about different types of insurance. I know that with APS we can’t get life insurance but I just wondered if anyone ever struggled to get travel insurance? I have so far not had any problems getting travel insurance and the cost isn’t too bad either but I’ve only been

Vitamins/supplements for cll?
I found out AFTER I was diagnosed with CLL that low vitamin D is a risk factor for getting CLL. I have had chronically low vitamin D even though I worked outside for half my working life. I was haphazard in supplementing the past 30 years. With recent research, I'm seeing all kinds of supposedly helpful

Endo is recommending radioactive iodine
At my last endocrinology appointment, it was strongly suggested I have radioactive iodine therapy. I'm not terribly keen, for reasons that many of you here have pointed out. I still don't know for sure that I have Graves'. The endo didn't think it mattered if it was Graves' or not, she would still recommend

Vitamin B12 deficiency & Low Vit D
I’ve just started on B12 injections (6 over 2 weeks ouch ) as my levels were low . Many of the symptoms are similar to what I get with heart issues, extreme tiredness and breathlessness. It was only by chance that they added B12 onto my annual check up bloods after I mentioned being more exhausted

What supplements do you take?
Hi everyone, Here is a photo of my PMR cupboard. The only things not shown here are my vitamin D and K, which for some reason I keep on my bed stand and take immediately upon waking. Curious what supplements you take for your GCA/PMR and/or adrenal insufficiency.

Second opinion for my daughter (ruling out thyroid, opinion on vitamins)
17 year old daughter has complained of headaches and fatigue for years. Chalked it up to teenager, pandemic, and irregular sleeping patterns. As all those things resolved, and the headaches and fatigue didn't, I ordered bloodwork to rule out Hashis and Hypo; and hopefully pinpoint a treatment to get

At my wits end
After suffering with stomach issues for an absolutely years (getting progressively worse each year) I was eventually given a test from the GP, the stool sample flagged something so was sent off to gastro. They did the usual colonoscopy which came back with ulcers in the colon. They took samples, which

Hi All, CLL Diagnosed less than a year ago. 13 Q del. I am/was hoping for a slow progression of this disease, but my recent blood work is worrying me. Just back from seeing the GP who isn’t the one who sent the text. He says he’ll have to consult someone as the result of the scan and advice are “a bit confusing” He printed the DEXA report off for me but I can’t make head nor tail of it so am attaching it to this message in the hope that someone can

Multi vitamins minus calcium and vitamin D
Saw Rheumy nurse yesterday. Still waiting to start Etanercept jab. But she said I should get multivitamins but minus vitamin D and Calcium as I'm already on calcichew D3 twice a day. Looked on line but cannot find any without these. Has anyone multi vitamins without calcium and vitamin D3?
