Endo is recommending radioactive iodine
At my last endocrinology appointment, it was strongly suggested I have radioactive iodine therapy. I'm not terribly keen, for reasons that many of you here have pointed out. I still don't know for sure that I have Graves'. The endo didn't think it mattered if it was Graves' or not, she would still recommend

Vitamin B12 deficiency & Low Vit D
I’ve just started on B12 injections (6 over 2 weeks ouch ) as my levels were low . Many of the symptoms are similar to what I get with heart issues, extreme tiredness and breathlessness. It was only by chance that they added B12 onto my annual check up bloods after I mentioned being more exhausted

What supplements do you take?
Hi everyone, Here is a photo of my PMR cupboard. The only things not shown here are my vitamin D and K, which for some reason I keep on my bed stand and take immediately upon waking. Curious what supplements you take for your GCA/PMR and/or adrenal insufficiency.

Second opinion for my daughter (ruling out thyroid, opinion on vitamins)
17 year old daughter has complained of headaches and fatigue for years. Chalked it up to teenager, pandemic, and irregular sleeping patterns. As all those things resolved, and the headaches and fatigue didn't, I ordered bloodwork to rule out Hashis and Hypo; and hopefully pinpoint a treatment to get

Some Potentially Alarming Changes to Blood
Hi All, CLL Diagnosed less than a year ago. 13 Q del. I am/was hoping for a slow progression of this disease, but my recent blood work is worrying me. Update following GP appointment re DEXA scan
Just back from seeing the GP who isn’t the one who sent the text. He says he’ll have to consult someone as the result of the scan and advice are “a bit confusing” He printed the DEXA report off for me but I can’t make head nor tail of it so am attaching it to this message in the hope that someone can

Multi vitamins minus calcium and vitamin D
Saw Rheumy nurse yesterday. Still waiting to start Etanercept jab. But she said I should get multivitamins but minus vitamin D and Calcium as I'm already on calcichew D3 twice a day. Looked on line but cannot find any without these. Has anyone multi vitamins without calcium and vitamin D3?

ITP, Need your help
In May 2016, some purpura and Petechia was observed in my legs, to know about it I did CBC. CBC report showed that Platelets of my blood had reached about 47,000 and by passage of 20 days it decreased and reached to 10,000. Beside this I had heavy bleeding and Epistaxis along with purpura. I stated

Endo appointment, T3 results at last and hyperparathyroidism possible
Thanks for your replies to my previous post and also the advice that I should investigate hyperparathyroidism. I saw the endocrinologist today and apparently my July '23 results (which I hadn't been told, and certainly they'd never mentioned they'd do T3) were: TSH: 0.02 (0.27-4.2) T4: 20.5 (12-

Vitamin D dosing advice on this website
Hi All, I have only in the last year picked up on the need to build beyond the most basic levels of vit D - my blood test in March 2023 showed a level of 50 which is not seen as problematic but insufficient for optimal health. I have read the advice here which seems very sound and there is a lot of
