FCR Round 2 Uncontrolled Sickness
As I reported in recent post about my bloods for the start of round 2, I got into problems with the anti-sickness medication for round 2, and despite trying to analyse what I did wrong in round 1 actually managed to make things worse and ended up in my local hospital to get sorted out. I've been back

Can low INR cause depression/mood swings/anxiety?
Before I started warfarin I was on a
Heparin
trial for 6 weeks, 3 weeks in we noted a real difference in my moods for the better. Does this sound familiar to anyone and if so is there light at the end of the tunnel?

Tinnitus and Azithromycin
Hi Guys, I wrote a post around September about my tinnitus. My Lung Consultant was not convinced that Azithromycin was causing the tinnitus nor was he happy with my GP for merely saying she could not help with tinnitus as there is no cure and could only help me if I noticed a loss of hearing. Well

Anti phospholipid antibody with Hemorrhagic disorder
Heparin
and Agatraban both had the opposite effect on me. Due to the expense, my doctor has recommended possibly switching to Rivaroxaban. I am a little nervous to change what I know is working. Camie

Is it APS?
She had two babies with
heparin
due to her past blood clot history. The last baby had a slight heart problem (is fine now) and she had the placenta analysed and was found to have clots in it. I'm concerned that the could be Hughes.

All kinds of advice....aspirin, management?
Had IVF and successfully gave birth with daily
heparin
. The following year developed random symptoms....and was put on hydrochloriquine. Within the year, I got cancer. Parter chemo, I felt quite soured on doctors...esp rheumatologists so went without treatment for 7-8 years.

Long term effects of childhood meningitis. Would like to Hear from others.
My son was diagnosed with Meningococcal septicaemia at 7 months old. Although he was very poorly, he responded well to the antibiotics and thankfully made a full recovery, free from complications. He did have sleep issues for a couple of years afterwards- waking, terrified & screaming, almost paralysed

Update...
My belly is bruised from the
Heparin
injections, They seem to be hurting more.. did anyone else find this the more their pregnancy progressed? My morning sickness has eased the past couple of days, which also worries me. Did anyone else's morning sickness reduce during week 9 of pregnancy?

Some of us with a long history of migraine have Hughes Syndrome/APS
Howcvcr, one of the most striking clinical observa-tions is the often complete disappearance of the headaches when anticoagulation with
heparin
or warfarin is started, say, for a peripheral thrombo-sis, or with
heparin
prophylaxis in pregnancy.

Due to mention of 'Thyroid' - Professor Graham Hughes November 2014 Blog
We next prescribed my ‘
heparin
trial’ – a 3-4 week course of low molecular weight
heparin
– a course of daily injections designed to assess any response to such anticoagulant therapy. The result was spectacular. No headaches, brain ‘clearer’. And, interestingly, a disappearance of the chest pains.

Getting used to APS
Had a rough run or so I thought going onto Warfarin, I thought it was making me feel really rotten and my INR was jumping all over the place and took an age to settle, was a
Heparin
dartboard for weeks and weeks but eventually it settled down and did the first 6 months sentence.

I am hearing my pulse in my ear and light headed
Hi everyone, I am new here. I recently been having shortness of breath, chest tightness and I visit Dr about 3 times. They did blood work, ekg, chest X-ray,ct scan of the lung and all was normal. I am doing acupuncture and taking B complex vitamins, magnesium, fish oil, I need to drink more water though.

Spontaneous Referral!
It may have something to do with the fact that I had just emailed her to say that I want to inject
Heparin
if my INR goes below 2.5 rather than below 2, and she is worried I am risking a bleed, but whatever precipitated it, I have obviously written back to say yes thank you very much.

Hello.. it's been a while.
I've been put back on 150mg of aspirin and
heparin
injections daily. Its very, very scary, but we are determined to stay positive. Everything will be okay this time. Im only still very early, my guess is around 4-5 weeks. But we are hopeful. Hope you're all well.

October's Blog (Part 2) - Rebecca's experiences of pregnancy with lupus
I have to inject myself daily for six weeks post birth with
heparin
to reduce my risk of blood clotting, and for someone who doesn’t like needles that hasn’t been much fun, but I just think of Bella, and I remember why I have to do it. I am also wearing TED stockings for 6 weeks.

APS after 3 miscarriages and a still birth AND a premature baby?!!
I was told I would be put to
heparin
and aspirin only if I get pregnant again. But what I don't understand is why wait when I am pregnant or are they right in saying that? I would really appreciate if anyone replies to my confused questions!!!

Sticky blood and depression/lethargy
When the DVT was diagnosed, I was put onto
Heparin
and Warfarin. Within three days of starting treatment, not only had the pain in my leg gone, but I felt much less depressed. After a month, I did not feel depressed at all. I told my psychiatrist that I was better and she effectively signed me off.

Surgery update..
The
heparin
shots should be completed today, I am back on Warfarin now also. I check into the clinic today for INR check. I am looking forward to a self tester, as I am going deeper within my diet to further build an even healthier diet related to organics and vegetarian.
