Tinnitus from Thyroxine
Hello all. I am hoping that someone on here has some experience that is similar to my own, but successfully got to the bottom of it. I have been on MercuryPharma Thyroxine alternate 25mcg/50mcg for a couple of years and developed strange hearing problems. I work in a normal office, with sound levels

Gastroparesis (slow stomach emptying with pain)
I realize that
heparin
isn't something to be tested/tried unless there is a true chance it will help (as opposed to down side risks). But I've gone way past that point. Now I am down 15 pounds and I can only eat low fat soup for last two weeks.

One further pregnancy came along, and this time Mrs M.J. was treated with

Pradaxa
Prof Hughes agreed that she should move onto a more effective medication but was reluctant to keep her on the
Heparin
because of the injecting, so she has been on Pradaxa for 2 weeks now.

Keeping A Diary Or Common-Place Book...

Unknown DVT.......so far. Backpack in 5 weeks!!!
I was first put on an intravenous infusion of
Heparin
at 0.70ml/hr (reduced from 1.2ml/hr after my blood thinned too much after 6hrs). I remained on this from the early hrs of Friday morning until Sunday afternoon. It then changed to Clexane injections (97.5mg (I think that's the unit.

My own practice in this situation is a short course of
heparin
. We learnt many years ago that Hughes syndrome ladies going through pregnancy often found that their migraine headaches vanished during the 8-9 months of
heparin
.

Bacterial meningitis
Hi my LG had bacterial meningitis at 5 weeks old she is 2 and half now and recently had a follow up appointment and audiology. Her hearing test passed but she had a problem with the tubes behind her ear drum. It's called esthachain tube dysfusion had anyone else had problems with this before or could

Treatment with low molecular weight
heparin
(LMWH) reduces the risk of RPL but not preeclampsia. Moreover, LMWH stimulates trophoblast sFlt-1 release, an anti-angiogenic factor associated with preeclampsia.

Heparin Trial
My daughter (aged 21) is about 6 days into a
heparin
trial. First days she didn't notice much, but we saw on here that many of you say you inject in the morning to get the most benefit, and since doing this she says she has been feeling much better.... for about 6 hours.

Question about long haul air travel
I love to travel and especially enjoy cruises, but am nervous about flying and have seen some posts about injections of
heparin
type substances prior to flights. Also, I get ankle swelling while travelling and this happened even before the dvt.

APS and chemical pregnancies
my doctor tells me the treatment is aspirin and
heparin
from positive pregnancy test. I question it since my losses were so early. Will it really stop me from miscarrying in time? I've read about prednisone/prednisolone to calm the immune system before pregnancy. Anyone have experience of that?

The next obvious move was to return to a trial of
heparin
– improvement, especially in the frequency and severity of the headaches, but little impact on the writhing movement attacks – which were now dominating her life.

Important new from Hughes Syndrome Foundation regarding European Forum on Antiphospholipid Antibodies.
It provides evidence that pregnant women with Hughes/APS who still lose babies with the usual treatment (aspirin and
heparin
) are much more likely to have a successful pregnancy is they are also treated with hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil or Quinoric in the UK).
