CLL and Hearing loss
I am 65 yo male. W&W. First diagnosed in Jan 2019. My hearing loss has accelerated in the past year and I don't think it's just because I'm getting older. I've done two hearing tests in the past 6 months. The most recent suggested a "catastrophic" loss of hearing in my right ear for no apparent reason

Hearing loss after meningitis - ANSD?
With hearing loss being a common after effect of meningitis, I'm wondering if anyone has heard of this before, as our doctors are scratching their heads. My son, who is now four, had Pneumococcal Meningitis at 14months, and thankfully has come out with just some minor emotional/behavioural issues and

Sudden hearing loss and RA
Hi. Has anybody ever had SSNHL (sudden sensorineural hearing loss)? I woke up last week completely deaf in 1 ear. I got an emergency ENT appointment and had various hearing tests and given the above diagnosis. It is quite rare and the cause is often never found. If not caught early it can be permanent

Good consultant for pulsatile tinnitus?
Hi can anyone recommend a private consultant in the UK (near London) to get me started on diagnosis and treatment for pulsatile tinnitus? Ear problem...worried
Anyone had a virus that affected their ears? I was on Antibiotics, got rid of cough, but left me deaf in right ear. Tried warm olive oil, this removed a ball of liquid yellow wax, but still crackle in ear. Went to have hearing test at Specsavers she said there was blood inside my right ear. ( I do wear

ciprofloxacin V levofloxacin
I wonder if anyone can answer this, I was in hospital a couple of years ago and was given Levofloxacin and within no time I couldn't walk, I was very scared! it appears the drug had affected my achilles tendon. Of course I was told it couldn't be the drug!! I have reactions to a lot of drugs and am

EPIC Study - interesting finding and recommendations
Another important recommendation is that no bridging with low-molecular-weight
heparin
is needed until anticoagulation is started.

When to start heparin?
Hi everyone, I’m due to start my FET soon and at our consultation after our failed round they said we could have
heparin
to improve blood flow - I just wanted to check is this a tablet medication or injection and when should you start them? Thanks in advance :)

Is clexane used instead of baby aspirin? Or in conjunction?
If I had a chemical whilst on 75mg baby aspirin would going onto Clexane/
Heparin
be of any use? Would you still continue with baby aspirin alongside the others? Apparently a TEG blood clotting test revealed my blood clots slightly quicker than average...

Baffled
I have been feeling deaf in my left ear for years,to me it didn’t feel like true deafness as sometimes when I turned my head it totally cleared until I moved my head again.I also felt my head was full of cotton wool.I asked different GPs for years & they just looked in my ears & said they could see nothing.Eventually

New here.
Hi. After a hospital appointment today where I had all the usual hearing tests I was referred for an MRI which came as a bit of a shock but he can’t see anything so thinks it may be more to do with nerves. My symptoms are significant hearing loss in my left ear, tinnitus and sometimes dizzy spells. I
