Fitness/Heart-Rate wrist bands/watches suitable for over 60s?? Any recommendations?
I've checked with BHF online, and other '
heart
health
' websites, and it's not really helped. I'm looking for something that's under £100. Easy to use and just does 'the basics'. So does anyone (with paroximal AF) have one of these 'gadgets' that they would suggest would be suitable, please?

shoulder and arm pain after heart bypass
My friend had a quadruple bypass 4 weeks ago. He's had trouble with pins and needles in his arms and hands. The last 4 days a lot of pain in shoulders and arms which has lead to loss of sleep. He also has a cough. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Mitral Valve Prolapse and Hypothyroidism
Is Mitral Valve Prolapse associated with Hypothyroidism? If so, Is the condition common? I was diagnosed with a mild MVP 30 years ago and Hypothyroidism . 15 years later. Until I started taking Levothyroxine I had panic attack type episodes. I have never had any check ups for the MVP. Thanks

This is normal after a heart bypass, isn't it?
My husband had a bypass on Friday, a double if that makes a difference. 3 nights in ICU, chest infection, exhaustion and gibbering nonsense. Today moved into HDU and was so much more alert, talkative and seemed like his old self. Just had him on the phone to me, worried they were giving him too many

New to this
I had a hba1c test a couple of weeks ago and it came back as 48mmol had another one last week and it came back as 47mmol. I had a heart attack last December and open heart surgery in January could this be linked or something different? What changes do I need to make? Tia

Aunt not following commands after waking-up
My aunt underwent a clot removal heart surgery and she woke on the next day, but the ICU staff are telling us that she is not following any commands. She is still intubated, because of this and will undergo a CT scan tomorrow. I wanted to ask: Am I expecting too much too early as I've seen some posts

Branded Apixaban V generic Apixaban
Well, something strange is happening.I have been bruising on my legs for the the last month or so and my bloods are ok with recent tests. I read an article on how generic brands of drugs can be absorbed by the body differently to the branded version. I questioned my pharmacist who had said it's unusual

Wenckebach and Tachycardia
Hello, what would be the treatment for 25 year old who regularly exercises but reaches 180-190s heart rate almost every workout, even Pilates. Constantly in 140s-150s heart rate just by walking. Resting HR high 80s. Already ruled out any deadly tachycardias. But they also have Wenckebach during wake

Hi There. First post. I've recently been officially diagnosed with ADD (predominantly innatentive). The psychiatrist recommended Vyvanse. Took double dose of Apixaban and Flecainide
My 'foolproof' drug-taking regime broke down this morning and I took 5mg Apixaban and 100mg Flecainide twice within a couple of hours. Realised almost immediately what I had done and did the fingers down the throat over the loo manoeuvre - to no avail. Rang pharmacist and got the expected advice -

Ectopics one after the other
Hi there, I hope it's ok to join? I've posted on here before on the British Heart Foundation but I wondered if anyone here could also help me. Very brief history, I am female, aged 47 and perimenopausal (on HRT). I started having palpitations, ectopic beats around 2 years ago and had a suspected SVT

Newly diagnosed adult congenital heart issue…
Tests after a recent incidental finding have concluded with a diagnosis of bilateral- partial anomalous pulmonary vein connection /return (PAPVC or PAPVR). Now on the list for open heart surgery and repair so would love to hear from any others with this diagnosis-
