Hello :-)

I was in the same position as you except I had 3 heart attacks

I was on all the usual cocktail of medications and they kept me safe till I got my triple Bypass so there is no reason why you will not be ok as well :-)

I hope you get a date for your operation soon and if you can let is know how you are and how you get on :-) x

Hello :-)

I know exactly what you mean I was the same to but I kept telling myself if it needed doing asp they would not have me on the waiting list they would have had me in straight away and if these tablets would not keep things ticking over while I was waiting again they would have had me in straight away

Then when I settled with those thoughts I started getting anxious over the op !

I am just an anxious person though

And the op honestly trust me I am not sure how you feel about it but I was petrified literally and yet it was fine , I was very surprised so if you are feeling a little anxious over it don't if I can do it anyone can

Remember you can come and talk and ask as many questions as you like and we will try and answer them :-) x

Finding out you need a bypass and that wait between finding out and operation can be a daunting time.

Just remember to process and talk about these feelings. Don't bottle it up. Talk to people and make sure you take time still for your interest and things that'll take your mind off it, even if it is just for a little while.

I kept my mind busy before hand with lots of little projects. I was quite a morbid person so probably best I don't write down all what I did. One thing that made be feel better was reading Bob Mortimer's autobiography. He has a bypass in 2015 and I found his book an honest recount but also very reassuring.

I wish you all the best.

Hi Charl70. I had something similar but got away with angioplasty and stent, and rotablation to drill out the calcium. They asked if I wanted a bypass and I refused; they decided angioplasty was ok. Maybe you could check this out? Lots of meds as well.
