Health anxiety

Hi I’m havein the worst case of health anxiety for the past 2 weeks I’m driving my self crazy I do not come of google and I feel so bad cus I have 2 kids but I spend all my time obsessing over googleing symptoms or checking my body for lumps. About 4 years ago I was reffered to a hemotoligist because my white cells was always high the hemotoligist done lots of diffrent test she said all came back negative apart from low iron and put it down to smoking? Recently I had my first blood test since 4 years ago they have came back high again with high platelet count and low folate acid my question is can this really all be down to smoking I carnt stop thinkin I have some kind of cancer do you think the hemotoligist would of picked this up on all the test she done or do you think I should get a second opinion ? Sorry for long post and thank you for reading

I would get a second opinion and I would go to a major medical center for it.

I suggest that you discuss it all with your GP first. He/she should be able to tell you what the results indicate.

I would suggest you take another opinion or consult your GP. The increase in blood cells could be a result of various health problems, not just cancer.

It could be just the ebbs and flows of your body katyjoa. Besides those people are professionals ( not that they don’t make mistakes) but I think if there were a serious problem they would let you know right away. I’m sure your GP doctor has already looked over your latest blood test results and noticed nothing out of the ordinary. Health anxiety sucks sometimes I think it’s an evil genie that we allow ourselves to let out of the health Anxiety bottle. I would suggest that you don’t get that second opinion . You don’t need the overburden on your mind. Just like 4 years ago ...you’re fine. I’m not trying to be negative to you or mean in any way.
