Shingles & needing more heart surgery
My first mitral valve repair has failed sadly after 3 yrs & I need it redone, more open heart surgery..... but a month ago got Shingles. I was unable to take acyclovir as it made me incredibly dizzy & unbalanced. I am in terrible pain after 4 weeks & no sign of it improving though the rash blisters are

braccacardia symtoms
hi all I wonder if someone can give me some advice. I was diagnosed with AF a few years ago and so far my heart rate has been 65bpm when resting. This last 3 weeks resting heart rate has dropped to the low 50’s and twice dropped to 48 bpm. This does make me feel a little faint and sickly. Itake Bisoprolol

Fear of Cancer Recurrence
Hello, I am currently suffer from extreme
health
anxiety
over the fear that my skin cancer will reoccur. I have had three small spots of skin cancer removed in the last year and at 45 I’m terrified that I won’t live much longer. None of them have been melanoma, so that is a little good news.

Apixaban
Hi there, I take Bisoprolol, Flecainide and until recently Edoxaban anticoagulant . However, spending much time in France I’ve found that Edoxaban is not accepted as a safe drug and I cannot get it in France . I changed to Apixaban which is available , and was previously recommended by my electro-cardiologist

Triple Heart Bypass
I would like to say thank you to everyone who has replied to my post. Your responses have been very reassuring and I will certainly take on board all the advice I have been given. It seems that the doctors have to give a generalised timeline for recovery, whereas everyone is different and some may

What shall i do, any advice, any help?
My Name is Amro, but call me Mero. A 32yrs Egyptian born with tetralogy of fallot heart problem in 1992, made a surgery in 1993 ( in UK ) and 2004 (in millan-italy) for that problem and lived on. I experience terrible social communication with every single soul (except my parents) regardless of age,

Triple Heart Bypass
Hello, I am new to this community and am looking to find out if anyone has had the same symptoms as I am experiencing. I had a triple bypass 3 weeks ago and I am getting despondent because I don't feel that I will feel any better after 6 weeks which is when they said I could revert more back to normal

Open Heart Surgery Ahead
Born with a bicuspid valve I guessed this day was coming…just not so soon! I will be 56 when they open my chest on August 15th. I would much rather have the TAVR procedure but at my age the long term planning doesn’t support that method at this time. So, OHD it is. I have significant procedural anxiety

Anyone else in the same boat?!
Hi! A quick review! Diagnosed with fast AFib four years ago and HCM a year later. On too many meds to mention! Last October had my first ablation-which the hospital said was successful. Unfortunately, that triggered another arrhythmia called atrial tachycardia. Back in for another- and the last one

Hey There Again loneliness.....
Hey everyone I hope everyone is doing well. I'm just here venting my emotions about me tired of feeling single and alone. I see everybody around me with someone and I'm happy for them but I do also get a little jealous, I have no self esteem, no confidence, I feel invisible to everyone, I don't matter

I don't want to be a burden on NHS or come across as having unfounded

but likewise I don't want to look back in 5 years time and wish I had have been more persistent in finding ways to prevent any potential issues escalating.

AFib for past 4 days
Just wondering if anyone out there has experienced being in AFib for longer than a day? And does it revert back? Usually I return to sinus rhythm If I’m only in AF for a few hours or a day but this time it’s been 4 days. Fortunately I don’t have any symptoms like I usually have apart from not being

hi everyone I hope someone can help I had open heart surgery 10 months ago to repair my mitral valve. I subsequently had AF and was told my ejection fraction was 40. Since then my EJ has improved a bit (still not in normal ranges) and the AF has gone. I have however continued with a high percentage
