More on Kardia…..
I sent one of my Kardia results off for a Clinician Review ( from Alivecor ) It was a ‘Sinus Rythmn with Supraventricular Ectopic’ reading that I wanted confirmed, as I am beginning to think all my SVEs could in fact be Afib ! Anyway, I just got the result which stated : Atrial Tachycardia. Can anyone

Dry mouth Apixaban/Bisoprolol
Apixaban & Bisoprolol - Does anyone else get a dry mouth while on these? Guess it maybe because I tend to breath harder through my mouth due to the breathlessness caused by the Bisoprolol?😤

I have recently 2 months ago had open heart surgery and pacemaker implanted. Has anyone continued with climbing and bouldering after getting a pacemaker? Thanks

ITP worse after CLL reactivated. 2,5 years after stopping Venetoclax/Rituximab with Umrd. Has anyone tried N-plate? Other options?
ITP (secondary to CLL) since 9 years. Treated with Prednisolone, Rituximab and trombopotein (Revolade). CLL treatment with Venetoclax 2021-2022. Stopped after one year because of covid but could take a break since I was Umrd in blood. Open heart surgery By Pass in Jan 23. Heart issues. Recurrent activated

Issues with Entresto
I have dilated cardiomyopathy but also associated with it, AF and heart failure. I have just been started on Entresto as an alternative to Ramipiril (which I had been on stably for 6 months). Since starting on the Entresto I have had continual very unpleasant lip tingling and my lower face has felt (

I’m getting worse
Lately I’m having increased episodes of PVCs ? or PACs ? that often turn into hours of tachycardia—regular-looking rhythm but fast (Kardia), usually under 120 bpm. I’ve done all the intervention strategies and more often than not, they don’t make a bit of difference to get me back into normal rhythm

A few ECG questions for the wise ones! Kardia versus wellvue for my situation?
I have PAF but for 2 years I have had 1 episode (after long haul flight & jet lag). Then on 8 August, & since, I have had trigenimy PAC & I am now noticing a few AF short episodes thrown in along with some normal sinus rhythm (not much normal SR). The PACs feel permanent 😤 & are very unpleasant. I

Survivor tattoo
Hi Just thought I’d share my first tattoo with you, following my heart bypass on 18/01/23. The good part is that the area on my chest still has no feeling following the surgery.

Arrhythmias: Understanding your condition
Arrhythmias are heart rhythm disorders of your heart’s electrical system, whereby there is a change in the regular beat of your heart, causing it to beat irregularly. Sometimes if the conduction pathway is damaged or becomes blocked, or if an extra pathway exists, the heart’s rhythm changes. For more

Rivaroxaban (Xarelto) vs apixaban
I recently posted about problems dealing with the side effects of apixaban, mainly lightheadedness and dizziness. I saw my cardiologist today and he changed it to rivaroxaban 20 mg once a day. In reading about the side effects of this drug, I see that it causes "serious bleeding" among other things,

permanent AF
my husband is in permanent af, he is on Bisoprolol and Apixiban. His heart rate is low around 50. He gets out of breath and tired easily. He had the Bisoprolol increased but this made him unable to walk far withought sitting down , this has massive impact on his life, and Bisoprolol reduced back to where

AF ongoing
I was admitted to A&E last week. This was my third episode of AF. Unfortunately this time I did not return to sinus rhythm. I am now home but still in AF, 4 days later. I have been prescribed 1.25 mg of Bisprolol twice a day as I have a low resting heart rate. I feel so tired but anxious about the way

Independent article: Scientists reveal best time to take high blood pressure tablets
Today’s Independent has an article, with the same title as the header, which reports that scientists have shown conclusively that taking blood pressure medication in the evening is no better than taking it in the morning to protect against heart attack, stroke, heart failure or death. Worth a read.

3 weeks post triple heart bypass
After the initial shock of needing a bypass after a heart attack, I was discharged from hospital having what felt like the sweats and palpitations in my chest, neck and back, reassuringly the ECG at hospital was normal. It turned out I had a chest infection, meaning I spent another week in hospital

Survey?
I see such a variety of meds for afib. I wonder if people will disclose what they are taking, maybe in this format. I've given mine. I see such a variation in meds, mainly in quantity of rate-control drugs, such as Eliquis (apixaban). I wonder about country, because it seems to me that people in U.K
