Identifying myself.
I skip my efforts for the next day to come, feeling hopeless and demoralised, my chest burns with
pain
and my
head
hurts. It’s getting hard to sleep, even harder to wake up and push myself, and to prepare for the next sunrise.

Hello all, I was diagnosed with endometriosis aged 21 after 8 years of awful problems and symptoms. After my first laparoscopy I was initially told it was “just a few spots of endometriosis” and my options were chemically induced menopause (gnrh and add back HRT) or to get pregnant and they fitted

Hi im new here, I've been prescribed gabapentin 100mgs x3 daily after refusing the 'only drug' the doctor said was available ..namely ropinorole. I refused that as first line, as I'm aware of augmentation , and other side effects like impulsive behaviours. I am aware of NICE guidelines. I pointed

The END
The end:dne ehT That's the inevitable, when the meds no longer work no matter the dose.. when the body no longer moves no matter the therapy. when the brain barely functions no matter the supplements... when the pain never stops no matter the pain killers... When the comforting words of loved ones

Who else has had Covid?
My family and I all got Covid, quarantine ends tomorrow. It felt very much like a hypo episode with some extras thrown in. Day 1, I felt lethargic, normal tasks felt like an effort. Day 2, my torso felt sweaty and sensitive, prickly. Day 3, dry cough and more lethargy. Day 4, my head feels stuffy,

Deeply grateful to all the replies about agonising shoulder pain
The jury is still out regarding GCA, as last year I had jaw claudication, a frozen burning tongue and stabbing
head
pain
, aching teeth and could barely open my mouth. I thought I was heading for the lunatic asylum!

Face Pain Develops During Dialysis
I get sharp pain in my face on the left side only, and usually around the eye. It develops during dialysis sessions, which I am fairly new to. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I have thought of other causes, but it is clear now that it always develops out of nowhere during dialysis. The

How to get a referral?
Hi there 2 years ago I was referred to a rheumatologist for ongoing pain and stiffness. They couldn't find anything particularly wrong and the issues subsided so they discharged me back to physio and my GP. Obviously then we had Covid, and tbh I wasn't too bad, but this year the symptoms have come back

Uncertainty over A&E advice
had a viral Covid vector vaccine recently & six days in, I started with unrelenting
head
pain
& temporary vision loss, so I contacted my GP & he flagged GCA. I then had inflammatory marker bloods & ct scan ( for clots) at A&E.

Vomiting after taking medication
So I was feeling a bit sickly. Like a normal little vomit bug sickly. I had to take my usual dose of MST & amitriptyline. About 35 minutes later I vomited... a lot. I'm feeling a bit better now that I've been sick. However, I am really really worried that I've thrown up my pain killers. With it being

Nytol or any other antihistamine?
Hello, I have been struggling again with RLS since I possibly had Covid last year in March. My first time of RLS was in 2000 after I was ill with the Epstein Barr virus. After a few years of RLS it became less and less until I only had it a few nights per months and only always 2/3 nights before my menstruation

Leg problem giving walking difficulties
About a week ago I started getting aching muscles in both legs, my right leg is totally ok now but my left leg has got worse and I can hardly walk. It doesn't feel at all like nerve pain, its more dull and aches, worse when I put weight on it although improves slightly once I get going. I feel it mostly

Can anyone shed some light on this. I have severe acute pain in my right heal comes from nowhere and goes it’s so bad I can’t drive when it’s there! No damage not been knocked, is this part of the PMR journey ☹️ I am on 6 mg Predisone a day and have just had a patch 10 mg of a opioid pain killer prescribed

CATS AND ARTHRITIS
Afternoon folks, this is an odd one but any thoughts or similar experiences, even with dogs. In the early stages of arthritis I was crying with pain and my 2 cats, Olga 17 yrs and Bella (who came from a rescue centre in December last year) 8 yrs backed off and stayed away from me. They would, sometimes

Severe Period Pain but no diagnosis
Hi, I haven’t yet been diagnosed with anything - endometriosis etc… but I joined this forum to see if it’s worth pushing for it to be investigated? I’m only 18 but I have had several trouble with my period since I was 9, to the point where I am curled up on the floor in agony, or where I’m shaking badly
