Questions about Topamax
Hi, Everyone. Haven't been on here in a while. My doc wants me to take topamax. This is to reduce migraines but I've read it also might help RLS. Does anyone here know if it causes augmentation (since it's a dopamine agonist)? Any other info you can offer would be helpful, too. Side effects? She's

Input would be greatly appreciated.
I'd be grateful of any advice to help me be prepared with the correct information before I contact my GP surgery. I've already received invaluable information from Forum members and the Pernicious Anaemia Society have been a lifesaver. Please excuse my long story and any over sharing of information

Cause of b12 deficiency? Should I get private bloods?
Looking for advice. Been having b12 symptoms on and off for awhile: nausea, tingling in body burning on hand, tiredness, brain fog. 10 months ago I was told I was slightly deficient and to supplement, repeat bloods in 3 months. Told they came back fine (I have never had the values for any of my tests

Is this ferritin level ok??
Serum ferritin level 30 ug/L [14.0 - 79.0] Thought GP had arranged to test my daughter for thyroid issue but so far only FBC and ferritin showing on system! She’s 12 y old, this was her ferritin result. Noted, borderline, no further action & patient informed. (Nothing was discussed). Other results

Help Interpreting Blood Test Results
Sorry to post so much in the space of one week! My B12 crashed (due to a large gap between injections) and new GP ordered a bunch of blood tests. Since starting B12 injections in September 2020 my, AST and ALT have raised considerably - is there a link? The results below are from three tests taken over

Has anyone had an iron transfusion privately?
Just that really. I'm considering one but the consultation alone is £200 plus the transfusion if it's deemed necessary, is almost £500 so it's a lot of money and I just wondered if anyone would recommend it? I'm veggie so it's much harder to get enough iron to increase my ferritin. I take 3 iron tablets

B12 & Folate
Hi, I’m new here. I’m 31 and have had stomach issues for 4-5 years. I’ve been exhausted for about 2 years, can hardly make it through a day without napping and experience breathlessness and general aches that I shouldn’t at my age. (I’m generally fit and not overweight) After an number of GP visits

B12 injections - ALWAYS wipes me out and chronic fuzziness
Hi all, I was diagnosed low B12 (+ve IFA test) in November and received the loading doses (Folate, Iron and Ferritin levels were good) - they brought on a whole host of new symptoms, awful anxiety and headaches/fuzzy thinking alongside a desire to sleep constantly. Given my only symptoms that made me

Antibody negative PA
Hi. I read the above referred to by an administrator on a previous post and just asking for further info please (post comments were turned off). I've had a test for intrinsic factor that came back negative (yet was told in 2006 that I'd be on injections for life as I can't absorb tablets). Is this the

You have to laugh!
My curiosity got the better of me and I sent for a testing for all covid antibody test. (Probably wasted my money I expect!). Well I set about doing the blood sample and as I was setting it all up ready I gauged a piece out of my thumb on the ‘safety packaging’. Unfortunately they are very specific
