Can anyone tell me please my latest bloods showed my

MCV. 107

MCHC 310

My Haematologist wants to check them again but is waiting till my next appointment in 4 months. Feeling worried

MCV Mean Corpuscular Volume reference range is 79.00 - 94.80

MCH Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin reference range is 25.6 - 32.2

MCHC mean Corpuscular `Hemoglobin Concentration reference range is 32.2 - 36.5

Note that references ranges can vary by lab.

There are various reasons why these numbers can be high or low, including medications like hydroxyurea that can increase MCV. Interpreting your numbers cannot be done without knowing what medications you are taking, what MPN you have, what your underlying conditions are, what your current iron levels are, what the rest of your CBC looks like, and more factors.

Suggest you review this with your care team sooner than 4 months if you are worried. If it is as simple as a common and expected medication side effect, then it may be nothing to worry about. However, there is not reason to wait and worry when there may be a simple explanation for your concern.
