Update.
That aside my latest counts are
Haemoglobin
- 141, White cell count - 5.9. Platelets - 202. But there has been a further dip in my GFR. Down to 50mL/min. I am seeing my haematologist in early may so will hopefully get some answers.

High B12 - more tests needed?
Blood tests (GP & Medichecks) so far show
haemoglobin
& MCH a bit below range, haematocrit & MCH low but in range. Serum B12 is consistently high (latest 872, range 197 - 771) without any vitamin B supplements.

Hi I am just wondering if anybody have similar problems like me I was diagnosed with CHF in May 2021 I had a blood test a few days ago which shows that my
haemoglobin
and haemotocrit are raised I am very worried that it can be PV or COPD I’ll of course ask my GP but perhaps I can get some information

Haemachromatosis?
Everything seemed to be normal re platelets, neutrophils,
haemoglobin
, folate levels etc. except for an abnormal rise in my iron levels.

Worried about high haemoglobin and haemotocrit blood test results
Now I am very worried because my blood test which I had this week showed that my
haemoglobin
and haematocrit values are raised. My serum ferritin is higher than normal as well. Does anybody has had similar results and have some idea what the cause may be?

feeling scared
My first blood test came back saying all my red blood cell tests (
haemoglobin
etc) were all on the high side but when retested came back normal. They also requested additional tests related to iron, b12 etc. All came back in normal range. All hormone levels normal.

First time taking hydrea
The vene sections didn't seem to bring my
haemoglobin
levels down amongst other things like my platelet count and thickness of my blood. My haemotologist recently left; and the new haemotologist put me on hydrea a week ago.
