Dosage Gabapentin
I am concerned about the dosage of Gabapentin. I am a petite female, 75 years old and slight in build. Is this drug safe to take at maximum dosage for all adults regardless of age, weight and size? Am currently building up the nightly dose and have also been prescribed Trazodol to also take at night

2 weeks after Bypass surgery
Good morning everyone 😊 Sorry for the delayed update. On 15 Jan I underwent CABG x3. I was in ICU on the ventilator for 24 hours after op as there was a bleed on my chest that they needed to correct before waking me up. I was completely unaware of any of this, my first memory was a 3am phone call from

Thoracic aortic aneurysm.
I have an aortic aneurysm and a dissected descending aortic aneurysm. I have declined surgery and wonder if there is anyone else in the same position . Everyone seems to have had or is awaiting surgery and I feel a bit on my own with this. Is it very unusual to decline surgery?

fatigue after Pluvicto
I was diagnosed with PC in 2012…had robotic surgery followed by all of the assortment of meds that we all take. I’ve had 5 infusions of Pluvicto ending in July. I now have daily fatigue that causes me to nap 2+- hours every day; I used to be very active. What, if anything, are you doing to combat the

Mitral Valve repair

treatment or no treatment?
it’s been almost 3 years since i was diagnosed with a Gleason 8 prostate cancer, confined to the prostate. To date I have elected not to be treated but instead have been monitoring my PSA levels. Originally this was 6 now 15. I am 66 with no symptoms and no other health issues. I have declined treatment

6 years post tah bso awaiting surgery for extensive adhesions and endo .
I thought I'd seen the back of the gyne ward . Absolutely sick of living in pain . Had a MRI that confirmed adhesions were causing all my organs to fuse together . I can't walk most days . My bowel ,bladder , vaginal vault all stuck . Constant kidney pain . Just arghhhhh.

Three years in
Today three years ago I walked into a emergency room. I could only walk 60 yards without resting. I had to stop driving 6 times during a 40 minute drive. Luckily I was admitted and luckily my B12 was finally tested and was <150 which is the lowest level that this particular lab tests for. I started

DBS stopped working
I’m looking to see if anyone has experienced similar DBS results, I had my DBS(GPI) surgery on 7/31 and immediately had positive results before the switch on. It felt like I was cured but I knew that this was the honeymoon phase. After a week or so my symptoms returned until I had my first programming

My dad graduated from ICU today! Severe Pneumonia
Hello, Everyone: I have posted here about my dad who is in his late 70s. At the end of August, he was admitted to the hospital to remove a small benign cyst from his throat and two days after the surgery, he choked on water and yogurt that were served and developed aspirational pneumonia. Since it

Post Surgery Issues
Hi All, I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy in July and all healed well - very happy. Then the past few days the incision in my belly button has started hurting, I have a swollen belly and it feels like a UTI then I have some bleeding from my belly button and it has a red mark around it. It looks

post op recovery
Hello, I had diagnostic laparoscopy 1 week ago, (where I was told no endo found but the gynaecologists told me just before I was heading up for surgery he wasn’t going to check my bowel or bladder where most of my symptoms are, only my reproductive organs 🙄 all he seemed to be concerned with) my recovery

Laparoscopy found nothing - symptoms all point to endometriosis
I don’t suppose anyone has been in the same situation as me and can help? I have suffered from a range of issues from 15 with periods; bleeding and pain with intercourse, severe leg pain, always bleeding/spotting outside of periods, bad period pains, UTI like symptoms and odd bowel movements around

1.15 a.m. U.K. Back again!
Hi all. Haven't been here for a short while due to hospital and scan's. Also trying to just cope with this horrible RLS which none of the Dr.s seem to take seriously here. Also having a verbal admission that our Pain Clinic don't look at a ' whole ' Xray but only focus on 1 area which is why they ignored

Hi everyone, I wanted to ask if anyone has undergone excision surgery and what was your experience pre and Post excision surgery? I was going to undergo this surgery but when the second pre consent was read out to me I did not consent to one of the additional procedures. I consented to everything

Bloody Covid can sod off!
Hi All, Had heart attack/ stent fitted 10 weeks ago & still struggling with side effects of medication. Dropped down to 1 Bisoprolol instead of 2 & this temporarily stopped the dizzy spells & light headedness. But within a couple of weeks they were back again & I just feel like crap most of the time
