nexplanon implant removal

hi ladies,

I’ve bled constantly since having my excision surgery in October. Been to my specialist who recommended that I have my implant out and reset my body completely then see about another form of contraceptive control in 3-6 months. Just had my implant removed today. Wondering how long it might take for the bleeding to stop. Anybody had anything similar? xx

hun I had implant along while ago but I think as I was on a medication that stopped my periods I wasn’t bleeding at the time. But it didn’t take long for my hormones to go to normal and my mental health to improve. Xx I have the coil but I have always had it put in at hospital as the docs could never do it as far to painful x

I was an antipsychotic and it stopped the periods because it had lactine or something in it.

Thanks cocoacupid! I was on nexplanon and norethisterone tablets which initially stopped the bleeding but since my surgery it’s been non stop so my specialist said take all hormones out and regulate naturally first. I’m still bleeding and it’s getting heavier - assuming it’s withdrawal bleeding and will hopefully stop soon. Just wanted to know how quickly it stopped for those who bled constantly :( I just want it over. Mentally feel better already: it’s like a fog has lifted. Just need the bleeding to stop so it gives my iron levels a chance to rise haha xx

hun maybe get a iron supplement to keep it up thankfully if I did have a period would last about nine to ten days and would have one every like three weeks so at least wasn’t bleeding constantly. But I do feel for people that do. Yes I felt like a cloud lifted and I initially had it taken out as my mood swings so severe xxx take care chick and really hope that the. Leading stops for you xxxx

not great hun to be honest as I have probably fibro am just extremely exhausted 😩 work tyres me out and haven’t been getting on well at work as they haven’t listened to me about going shorter shifts at work rather than long days so I am looking for other less stressful and strenuous work as sometimes I get slapped in the face punched nearly strangled I can’t do that anymore . Xxx
