positive blood test, negative biopsy, b12, ferratin and thyroid
Dear all, I've just found old blood tests results to compare with my current picture. In december 2010 I had a positive IgA tissue transglutaminase antibody of 162 u/ml (reference range less than 15) and a negative IgA endomysial antibody. A biopsy showed no signs of coeliac disease and I also had

Recommendations for books/websites about Hashimotos
I have been diagnosed with Hashimotos and am trying to find out as much information as possible. I have recently bought a book "The Root Cause' which I am working my way through, but am finding it a bit daunting as it seems to suggest gluten free diet, dairy free diet, egg free diet, low iodine, no

finally had to get on steroids...but, it is not bad!
I have been doing anything possible to avoid steroids... from gluten free diet, papaya leaf extract, to Chinese medicine... but Monday I started bleeding... a lot. ( even though I had stopped my menst. cycle 4 months ago)... it decided to visit me again with a vengeance. Needless to say a quick trip

Gluten free
Hi all, After two years of having RA and no joy with medications, I have yet again been taken off all meds whilst they try to sort out the optic neuritis I have; which is on the mend (500mg steroids a day helps a lot lol). Luckily my next appointment with the Rheumy consultant is in the first week

After having ibs for 4 years I'm always looking out on internet for different remedies. I've tried the usual.mebeverine, buscopan, colpermin, been on the aloe Vera gel for 3 years which does help . I do find that when I go on a gluten free diet it does help aswell. Sick and tired of not enjoying going

Do I have Hashimoto's or CFS?
That's the question I am pondering over at the moment. Hope that some of you may be able to offer some wisdom – to help out, this is the story so far (this is long – very sorry!): On 19 February 2015 I started to feel like I was coming down with a viral infection. There were things going round the office

Am I anxious because I'm sick or am I sick from anxiety?
So this post may be kind of long, but I'm hoping someone may have a similar experience and could she'd some light. I am a 21 year old male who has had health issues, mainly GI (stomach) issues for about 6 years now. I also have severe anxiety and depression as well as emetophobia, or the fear of throwing

Hashimotos help!
I have been diagnosed recently with Hashimotos after 15 years with hypo. Recently my energy levels have crashed, I just want to sleep all the time, I have a permanent headache, huge stress and anxiety levels (I am a teacher) and constant brain fog. I have looked into supplementing my diet with vitamins

One month on from Zero.....
Just to say I'm still feeling great ! No setbacks so far. I've got lots of energy and feel well. No sign of PMR pains returning. Sleeping well. Did start to try a Gluten free diet after a digestive issue, and was feeling great on it. However, Dr told me if I wanted to be tested for Gluten intolerance

IBS and Gluten Free
I have suffered with IBS for over 10 years and when I saw people on medication controlling their symptoms I was jealous. Now I am in some control of most of my symptoms without drugs and am watching my friends go down the route of drugs no longer working, How you ask. A friend suggested that I followed

Does weight loss follow Hashi (male)?
After a chat with a gastro this morning he suggested that if I was hypo, that I would gain weight. I have lost 4kgs and it's stayed off. I suggested that could just be the gluten free diet. My TSH has dropped to be 1.8 (it's all I could see over his shoulder) it has historically been 4+ That suggests
