Continuous colds
Hi, I'm waiting to see a rheumatologist and have been reading up on lupus. I suffer with constant and what seems like continuous colds, could this have anything to do with lupus. Before bloods showed lupus markers I had visited the gp and they put me on some nasal spray. I used it religiously for about

Splitting nails & lupus
Morning all, this maybe a silly question but does anybody else suffer from splitting nails? Since being diagnosed with lupus, I have had increased amounts of ridges on them but now the nails are splitting down to the nail bed. Also, my thumb nails are separating, as in, the back of the nail appears to

Sores in nose - chemotherapy
Apart from a runny nose with chemotherapy (Carboplatin/Pemetrexed) I'm also getting sores that are very similar to cold sores - tried betnovate cream, but not much good, then tried Zovirax which is better, but doesn't clear them and still forms scabs that bleed. It can be very sore and painful. Any

Fed up with always getting colds and bugs
I ended 2018 with a nasty chest infection which took months and a ton of medication to budge. After that I seemed to have a cold or a bug every few weeks, all through the year. 2019, I spent 2nd Christmas in a row, too poorly to get out of bed (with a cold, each time, rather than regular hypo symptoms

Feel like I’ve had the cold/flu for months!!
Anyone else struggling to get rid of a cold. I’ve had bad allergies over this summer very congested and for the past 2 months I’ve had either a constant flu or back to back colds. Sneezy, congested, sinus pain etc. It just won’t go away and now has me quite worried :-(

Cold Sores
I was diagnosed in 2010 with CLL and on W&W. I am now troubled with persistant cold sores on my nose or mouth. Tried the usual creams but still come back. Does any one have the same problem?

Cough cold since reducing prednisone
Since starting pred 2 years ago, 60 mg for GCA I haven’t had any colds in this time, however now I’m down to 2 mg and have had a colds for 6 weeks and now a horrendous cough, could it be that my Adrenal glands have not kicked in??? I was wondering whether to increase pred for a while? Really do not

Peakflow and colds (newbie question)
Hi! I’ve only very recently been diagnosed and started Spiromax (1 puff, twice day) 10 days ago. My Peakflow almost instantly improved from 320 to 370 and was still improving when I caught a cold on weekend. Now my peakflow is struggling to get to 300. I’m not struggling to breathe but just feel generally

Continual colds
Hi my husband has GPA in drug induced remission and only on AZA. He has had the stand and treatment and is doing ok. My question is he seems to go from one cold to another runny nose (no blood etc) and sneezing .. is this usual when immunity is suppressed? I had bad hay fever at the moment and are symptoms

CLL/catching colds
I am on watch and wait. 47 years old unmutated cd 38 positive but my numbers are good at this point. WBC almost normal and slightly anemic. My question is why I I keep getting colds or I guess they are colds and last about a week. Sometimes cough lingers longer but I eventually get better until it happens

My lip swells and I get a single spot which then leaves a open sore. The sore is very deep takes weeks and

Persistent cold symptoms with Pegasys?
One great side effect of being on Pegasys for the last 3 years is that I’ve had hardly any colds, as interferon helps combat the cold virus. More recently, since I’ve reduced my dose to just 45mcg every 4 weeks, I’ve started to get some cold symptoms again which I guess is logical due to lower levels
