L-lysine Supplements
I have been on w&w for the past 2 years with frequent bouts of mouth sores. My GP put me on lysine supplements and within 10 days sores have cleared but wbc rose from 14k to 19k. Has anyone had similar experiences and if so what did you do.

Should I switch from Levothyroxine to NDT?
Hi. I have hypothyroidism (Hashimoto's) and have been taking Levothyroxine for one year and 3 months. My dose is 50 mcg for 5 days per week and 75 mcg twice a week. I seem to be very sensitive to Levothyroxine. I lose a lot - and I mean A LOT - of hair when I am taking even 25 mcg a week more than

CORONA VIRUS / COVID-19/SARS COV-2 And Some Potential Help
This seems like a good time to start a thread discussing the latest developments regarding SARS COV-2 / Corona Virus(CV-19). Given that it seems to move quickly to new areas that were previously unaffected, being as prepared as is reasonably possible seems to make sense, but is there really a good way

Hi all, Bought LifeExension
Glycine
1000 mg capsules. They are larger in size than any supplements I ever had. Can I open the capsules, mix with water and dring, or is this not advisable for this product? Many thanks

Coping strategies for endometriosis
Hello, I am currently awaiting a laparoscopy on the NHS. I am desperate for any tips that you may have when on your period to cope with the pain/be able to function and go into work. I currently find I have to sit in a scorching hot bath or shower for hours to gain any relief. At the moment I take ibuprofen

IBS basics for beginners
Dear all, I have recently been suffering from excess burping and stomach pains for which I became dependent on Nexium for a couple of weeks. I have recently found that this is due mainly to changing from almond milk to lactose free milk, and also because I have been drinking a lot of decaff tea and

A conundrum for use v. non-use of specific amino acids in muscle atrophy and immune support for CLL patients
CLL and cancer patients, particularly those over 70, are often concerned about muscle wasting or muscle atrophy. Sarcopenia is characterized as the progressive loss of muscle mass that is typically associated with aging. These patients are frequently advised to increase their intake of dietary proteins

The amino acids that enter it are cysteine,
glycine
and glutamic acid. Glutathione has a share in many cell biochemical processes. In order for the body to function normally, it needs a persistent source of glutathione.

Amino acids and creatine
Yes I take creatine (5g day) and several amino acids (all 21 if possible). All of the above are very good for optimum muscle performance, especially recovery. Some amino acids are needed for cellular functions and brain health. No doctor will tell you this. You have to find out yourself. Lots of good
