I have been diagnosed with shingles and recommended to take L-Lysine 500 mgs on an empty stomach. Will I still have to leave it an hour after I take my Levothyroxine before I take the L-Lysine? It was ask recommend to me to during apple cider vinegar on an empty stomach so I thought I’d take the L-Lysine with that. Any thoughts? Don’t want to muck up my thyroid meds but need to get rid of these painful shingles.

Don't take anything with your Levo, leave the recommended time to avoid any chance of Levo's absorption being affected. It's always advised here to leave 2 hours between Levo and any other medication or supplements (unless it's one that needs 4 hours or longer).
As for apple cider vinegar, it's usual to take that just before a meal as it is said it raises stomach acid which is essential for digestive health.
Oh no! I hope youre better soon. Have they given you an antiviral?
Ive had it twice. Second time was last year and much worse than the first in 2016. I found the anti virals worked amazingly well x
Yes, but I was frightened to take them because I heard they weaken the immune system, That’s why I’m taking L-Lysine. Also, I wasn’t given them within the 72 hour period.
Please do not be worried that an anti viral will weaken your immune system. I was diagnosed with shingles 25 years ago, and have been taking a suppressive dose of vaciclovir every day for 10 years.
I wish my doctor had recommended it earlier, before my shingles progressed to Ramsay Hunt syndrome.
Anti virals are the ONLY thing which will nail the shingles virus.
