Your Gut’s Effect on Your Mind
Glutamine
: Poor diet and stress can cause leaky gut—when the junctions between cells of the intestinal lining loosen, allowing foreign substances and toxins to leak into the rest of the circulation, affecting the whole body.

Testing for glutamine levels to check for transformation to neuroendocrine cancer from adenocarcinoma?
"The study raises the possibility that a simple blood test measuring
glutamine
might be able to pinpoint when androgen-targeted therapy is failing in a prostate cancer patient and even predict when therapy resistance will occur," said Posadas, who co-authored the study.

Reverse T3 interacts with αvβ3 integrin receptor and restores enzyme activities in the hippocampus of hypothyroid developing rats
We found that ex vivo and/or in vivo exposure to rT3 failed in restoring the decreased 14C-glutamate uptake; however, restored the phosphorylation of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), 45Ca2+ influx, aspartate transaminase (AST),
glutamine
synthetase (GS) and gamma-glutamate transferase (GGT) activities

Early treatment
I'm currently taking daily:
glutamine
, ginkgo biloba, B12. I can't tell if they're helping the Raynaud's or if it's the fact the weather has improved. 3. Has anyone in the UK ever received therapeutic plasma exchange from the NHS to treat scleroderma?

Some down to earth advice needed please!
I'm a bit gullible and tend to try anything I read about so am currently taking L-
Glutamine
, collagen powder and have just ordered some quercetin- all of which are meant to help the gut and inflammation. I also take vits C, B and D and zinc.

Comorbidities
My daughter recommended I take l-
glutamine
to decrease the pain. She said it lessens her pain from Crohn’s (which is intense for 25 years), so gonna start 2000 mg a day (along with my other 15 herbal/etc supplements). Need to post something cheerful, don’t I?

Control and Treatment of SIBO and IBS
There is a lot of support for L-
glutamine
to help with repair of your small-intestinal lining; this means buying 500g of the bodybuilder powder type and having a couple of tea-spoons of this a day - one before breakfast and one just before you go to bed, and you can have this in a light cordial drink

Glutamine to treat colitis?
I've advised Kefir for the probiotics &
glutamine
but as I say any colitis sufferers out there who have had success treating without the need of a GP would be most appreciated. Happy New Year to you all & good health. Paula 🙏

Extract from Afghan Ash suppresses PCa cell growth
Finally, we performed global untargeted metabolomics which showed that NA treatment alters PCa cell metabolism at multiple sites including glycolysis, tricarboxylic acid, and
glutamine
metabolism which supported our observation of a possible AMPK activation.

Glutamine and pc growth
Is anyone familiar with
glutamine
and prostate cancer metabolic tumor growth? I am vegan and I eat everyday humus and peans which are very rich in
glutamine
. I just found this info by accident and I sort of panicked because that is mostly the main source of protein I get on a daily basis.

Newbie - Introduction
My husband, age 58, was diagnosed July 2016. PSA 477, Gleason 9. Oncologist advised against any treatment. Urologist started with Firmagon, monthly. He suggested Docetaxel - oncologist later agree and chemo treatment started - treatment was tolerated well. Different treatments were introduced: Prednisone

Help to sleep
I'm also taking L-
Glutamine
as it helps to restore gut balance. Small measures are helping with these two conditions. My nausea isn't so bad now although I find if I have a big meal it comes back. I've given up caffeine [sadly] as can't abide the raciness it gives me.

Hormone therapy with the lutamides and keepin your testosterone intact
We have plenty of them now. Flutamide, nylutamide, bicalutamidee, ensulutamide, ampulutamide, darolutamide. Are there any more? There are also adjuncts to these. I use avodart, some in clinical trials. I failed casodex after 7+ yrs than xtandi for a year with lupron which I think wasn't necessary since

Leaky Gut: has anyone had this, and can give me some advice ?
-- I have been taking
Glutamine
for two weeks , but that hasn't really made much difference, and I'm changing my Probiotics. But I also notice in Isabella's book that NAC is good for gut permeability. Has anyone taken this ?

Looking for various so called causes of RLS
Recently Johns Hopkins Hospital said it was too much
glutamine
in the brain. I went there hoping for "the cure." Instead they just wanted to treat me with another drug which was funded by the drug prescribed.
