Has anyone tried L-glutamine for Graves disease when Carbimazole has failed?

I take it for IBS and am hypo and it doesn't make me more hypo, so I don't see how it could help with Graves. I've heard that lemon balm tea can help.

Are you not mixing this up with L-carnitine.?

L carnitine may help, but you'd be better off having this in combination with carbimazole and I wouldn't risk dropping the latter unless you have had a bad reaction (and letting your endo know about it as well). I have read how they can work together very well as they act in different ways. L-carnitine blocks the uptake of thyroid hormone at a cellular level.. so could be worth trying to speed up recovery as it protects the heart... but may not be as efficient as carbimazole.

Yes, you're right - L-carnitine - thyroid brain, apologies & thank you for your reply.
