Liver
Hi hillbil, im taking amyltriptiline for pain myself alongside pregabalin, im only on 10mg amyltriptiline, my liver consultant said I was OK to take them as my liver is doing ok ,I do have cirrhosis, if I were you I would ask your doctor as some say liver patients are ok to take them depending on severity etc olese don't suddenly stop taking amyltriptiline if you have been on them long due to withdrawal Best wishes linda
I have been taking amitriptyline for almost 20 years - chronic back pain/anxiety/depression now at 100mg daily - my liver team have never suggested I shouldn’t be taking (I have AIH), but honestly all of my pain medication is just not sufficient to control the pain I’ve experienced since taking azathioprine. Just another Devil and the Deep Blue Sea.
Hope your ok thank you
