Increasing Prednisone when you have the flu or Covid
I read 6 months ago somewhere that if we have pmr and are taking prednisone and then get the flu that we should increase the dosage substantially for a few days till our flu symptoms improve. What happens to us and what should we do if we get Covid as well. I have had pmr since may and started on 40

I think I know what a Pin Cushion feels likeš¤Ø
Dear All, not only have I now had Three Covid Jabs with, in all probability, a Booster to come but also 'Flu' and Pneumonia too. Not that I'm really complaining- especially if it keeps me 'Well'š However today I had another TEN Blood Samples taken, for Both of my Consultants plus my GP, this only involved

Just finished my first non stop 20 minute run since mid December. It's been a slow build up after a cold and chesty cough. Hard work but worth the effort!!

Went to ER for asthma exacerbation, tested positive for Omicron and some pneumonia on X-ray
Not the way I thought my Thursday was going to go. Iād already had a negative COVID test 2 days before. Now I have COVID, asthma exacerbation and pneumonia. They sent me home after IV steroids, IV magnesium and a RX for antibiotics. Not a lot of details about what to do or expect. I am vaccinated and

Does the cold put you off?
Hi is anyone put off because they are so cold? Should I be trying to do warm up exercises in the house before I go out. I am wondering how many layers is feasible. I know - just get on with it and forget the cold.

Cough after AF ablation.
I underwent an ablation procedure for AF about 4 weeks ago. A few days after the ablation I developed a cough - dry, quite tickly, eases off when I'm sleeping/resting - which has hung around for about 23 days. I'm going to speak to my GP about it this week, but I was curious if it's ablation related,

Pneumococcal Vaccination.
I had a repeat pneumonia vaccination 2 days ago (here in South Africa, they are done every 5 or two years depending in your age.) This is the first one I have had since being diagnosed with PAF and two days later I had a short bout of AF - HR no higher than 106 at which stage I took 1,25mg Biso. and

In need of answers from others taking Apixaban as to supplements Tumeric and Botswella, anti-inflammatories and pain meds.
I am getting conflicting information regarding Tumeric and Botswella with apixaban for paroxysmal afib with no episodes for almost two years. Since beginning apixaban two years ago, I have had severe back pain, ankle pain, side pains, lethargy, strange sharp pains in miscellaneous places. Prior

Finally, I have found relief
After suffering with what my neurologist describes as āsevereā RLS since I returned from the Persian Gulf in 91, and trying every course of treatment that has been described on these posts with varying degrees of success, the only thing that was certain was that sooner or later anything that provided

Cold Feet - as in cold to the touch!
Just wondering, does anyone else suffer from cold feet? My partner is stage 4 COPD and when he is in bed his feet are fine but during the day, even if heās wearing socks or slippers, his feet are freezing cold to the touch.
