I had PMR symptoms a year ago December. At that time I started a cough. I would cough once a day and then may be a week later a couple times a day and it progressed from there until now I am now coughing a lot of times during the day. I am not coughing up anything I have no tickle in my throat or itch I just plain cough. Is this related to PMR?

I wonder if this cough could be caused by gastric reflux that seems to be one of Prednisalone’s gifts? Presumably you’ve had a chest X-Ray and your doctor’s advice? If not, please do this.
It could be - I have a bit of a cough that has been there all of the time I have had PMR. Mine appeared long before pred - so while it COULD be reflux, it isn't due to pred.
I'm assuming that it has been investigated as any persistent cough should be?
Like you my cough began in December I was not diagnosed and put on prednisone until February 2. A lot of people doctors thought it was postnasal drip but I don’t think it’s that at all I did have a chest x-ray and that was fine the mystery to me is how it started a little tiny bit little bit bigger little bit bigger and now it’s bigger bigger bigger. My primary said if it continues will look into it! After a whole year!?
Ironically after you answered me I talked to a woman who said she had just read an article about Gerd and a persistent cough so maybe it is that!! I will pursue it and have my fingers crossed that that’s the answer. Thank you!
Have you been assessed for asthma? My only symptom many years ago was a persistent cough like yours. I was fine for years but it came back when I was diagnosed with PMR and GCA.
