Parb Inhibitors Experience
I have been on Lynparza since June. PSA started at 16.4 and has varied between 15 and 17.5 for the 5 months I have been on it. Alt Phos has dropped from 121 to 74. LDH from 230 to 189. Just had a scan and it showed no progression even tho I have been in a little more pain recently. My oncologist

My Orchiectomy Adventure
Thought I might record my orchiectomy experience for anyone that might be considering it. My MO was always open to the idea but not totally supportive of it. After my last lab showed an increasing PSA while on both Eligard and Abiraterone he told me he 100% supported it. I already had an appointment

Adventures with Cabazitaxel
Hey gang, Was supposed to begin the first of six Cabazitaxel sessions last Friday(the six Taxotere rechallenge failed) , but the pharmacy messed up the mixture and it got moved to today! Looked up the cost, and Kaiser wasted $7800 with that error. Hoping the switch to Cabazitaxel does the job.

Monthly thrush ruining my life
Hi all. Long story short I have been getting recurrent thrush for 4 years, ever since I lost my virginity to my current partner. We have both been treated and I have even done long term courses of fluconazole (150mg a week for 6 months) this keeps the thrush away but 6 months after the last tablet it

L-tryptophan or 5-HTP
If I wean myself off 7.5mg of Mirtazapine ,I am wondering if l-tryptophan or 5 -HTP would be an effective substitute ? If so ,which one is preferable please and what would a characteristic dosage ? How long until one would see an improvement in sleep patterns? Thanks Peter

Any link between hypothyroidism and PCa?
Does anyone know if taking levothyroxine (Levo) a generic medication to treat underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism) causes or exacerbates PCa? Darn it and botheration 😷
Hi runny folks, well I made it through two runs of week 4 and managed it pretty well - although I felt pretty tired all day after my second run on Friday. Felt happy enough to take a photo of the flowers coming through! Woke up on Saturday with my sinusitis feeling like it was turning into the beginnings

Dipyridamole update
I have been on 100mg x2, one at about 4pm and one closer to 8pm. It is recommended to take Dipyridamole on an empty stomach. This is still lower than the effective dosage in the study and I intend to increase it. I have cut pregabalin from 300mg to 150mg. My goal is to cut it again when the 150mg

Pneumonia Vaccines : How many kinds of pneumonia vaccines are there? (CLL )
I received a lot of responses to my recent pnuemonia susceptability question. Now I think there may be more vaccines for pnuemonia than the two pneumovaccines I had when first diagnosed with CLL., based on the responses I received. To the Community in the USA :, what are the Pneumovaccines available

Why is pneumonia so often fatal to CLL patients?
Why is pneumonia so often a cause of death among CLL patients? Wondering today, for many reasons. In part because I was out in extremely cold weather for a few hours and was at the same time sweating from some hard work. A PET scan a while back showed a small pocket of "maybe" infection. not confirmed

Post-ablation chesty cough
Had bit of a chesty/asthmatic cough since cryoablation just over a week ago. Have been awaiting improvement, but none yet. Anaesthetist said beforehand that a few get pneumonia due to Trans Oesophageal ECG thingy. I'm a bit prone to pneumonia, and serious infections kicked off AF bigtime in the past
