I don't know whether to be excited or depressed about the huge number of trials and studies which are being undertaken. On one hand, it's encouraging to know PD is being attacked from dozens, if not hundreds of angles. On the other hand, the sheer number of approaches suggests that we're a long way from any kind of "cure" as Stott defines it. It would be nice if there was one universally known cause and one exact target. Unless or until that happens, I guess we can hope for a random bullseye using the current shotgun approach.
