Does anyone know if taking levothyroxine (Levo) a generic medication to treat underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism) causes or exacerbates PCa?
I’ve been taking Levo since 2014 after being diagnosed with hypothyroidism. 4 years later, in 2018, I was diagnosed with PCA. I’m wondering if there was a link.
Some sources say taking desiccated thyroid extract (T3) instead of Levo is safer and could reduce the likelihood of PCA.
I’m wondering whether to change my medication to include T3 but it is difficult to procure in UK.
Note: Between 2014 and 2018, I received testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) injections. I wonder if that caused or contributed to my PCA.
Any comments or thoughts would be appreciated.

TRT did not cause or contribute to your PCa, and neither did the levothyroxine. It is natural to seek a causative agent to blame. It's easier than believing you had no control over the apparently random event.
Keith was diagnosed and prescribed levothyroxine about 6 months before being diagnosed with Stage 4 PCa. He's being taking it for over 5 years and no progression from the cancer and PSA remains stable.
Grumpy has the opposite hyperthyroidism called Graves Disease. It is common in his family and several of them including him have been on tapazole, him 5 years. PCA 21 years.
