urgent - re steroid course of prednisolone tablets and local steroid injection at the same time?
Hi has anyone had a local steroid injection at the same time as being on a course of prednisolone tablets ? I wondered if this was a common occurrence ? and why bother with the local steroid injection whilst on a course of prednisolone steroids anyway ? there must be some reasons for and against

Bronchiectasis and long covid
Hi, I’m about 3 months into my bronchiectasis journey since my diagnosis earlier this year. My 3 month azithromycin trial went well and is now on my repeat prescription list (with it feels like a million other things ) I went for assessment for pulmonary rehab and the physio decided I’m too affected

Doctors with Long Covid
Just saw the news item this morning about doctors suffering Long Covid. When COVID happened I must say I thought ‘they’ (doctors) must be prepared for anything due to their choice of job. (Perhaps a little uncharitably due to my anger about my own situation at the time). They are presumably exposed

Methane SIBO
Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could recommend a sibo specialist based on their experience. I have been diagnosed with methane sibo by a private gastroenterologist and treated with several rounds of antibiotics. These would clear out symptoms well but they would return in few month. My gastroenterologist

Sperm quality after covid
We’re looking to do Donor Egg IVF, working towards my partner providing his sample for ICSI in a couple of weeks so that we can do a FET in my Oct cycle. However, he’s just tested positive for Covid. How long should we wait before he provides his sample? Clinic is suggesting 3 months, which feels like

Viral meningitis
My 17 year old daughter was diagnosed with viral meningitis last weekend and this was confirmed on Monday. Initially she was given antiviral and antibiotics because they was unsure if it was bacterial meningitis. She had been unwell for 5 or 6 weeks. Permanent headache that painkillers didn't touch

stop prednisone with flu vaccine?
I was told not to take my prednisone and antiviral to receive flu vaccine. Has anyone heard of that? That it would be less potent. When do we recommence ? Thank you!

But in any case I have Paxlovid with me but I keep seeing things that say don’t take it if you have autoimmune disorder. Is that us? My doctor gave it to me but…. I am down

Timing of flu vaccine when on weekly Tocilizumab
Hello all After an unsuccessful trial of 5 months without Tocilizumab, I am back on weekly injections. It's also time to have my flu jab. In the past when on two-weekly and three-weekly injections it was easy to fit the flu vaccine in not too close to the injections. Now, the best I could do would be

Hello everyone. I had a failed cycle on 27th September and now weighing my options as to whether or not take up further cycles. I’m 41 and deep down feel this journey is pretty much over for me but still want to give my best shot before closing my infertility chapter. My partner has very low sperm count
