no. of straws of sperm?
hello, I’m about to try icsi and I’m using donated sperm from EsB or cryos. I appreciate it might be like asking how long is a piece of string but how many straws should I purchase ? Happy to hear your thoughts. Best wishes

no GP kidney infection
I’ve just signed up for new GP and receptionist told me it would be a 2 week turn around. I had bad uti symptoms and went to pharmacist they suspects it’s a kidney infection as I have fever, vomiting, bloating, frequent peeing and painful peeing. Unable to hold my bladder, incontinece and gnawing back

Post covid secretions
My husband spent two months in icu during the first wave of covid from December 2020. He was in a coma for 3 weeks of that. We are forever grateful that he managed to come back to us and has made a huge recovery at home. He still struggles with very large and sticky secretions on a daily basis. We initially

Asthma during respiratory infections
Hi, I've been asthmatic since I was 2 years old and am now considerably older than that. Despite 45 years of experience I really don't have a good understanding of what to expect from asthma management. I use a low dose Flixotide preventer inhaler every day and salbutamol when required. Day to day you

Covid and RA pain
I'm recovering from Covid. I didn't get an antiviral and to be honest didn't really need it. I'd had an MTX jab (my first - moving from oral) the day before symptoms started. I stopped taking Sulphazalasine partly because I thought it may be wise but mostly because I didn't feel up to taking them. What

HI I have just joined this group in the hope that it will help me achieve my weight loss goals. I feel like I need to be able to chat with people who are going through the same as me and who will understand my struggles without any judgement. I am in a really down phase at the moment and am struggling

Pneumonia/cancer
Hi I'm new to this forum but great to hear other peoples experiences. I was diagnosed with pneumonia after an x-ray. Had antibiotics and fingers crossed, not feeling too poorly. Doctor said it was a small showing on the x-ray and that no cancer concerns at all. He said I will have a follow up x-ray in

hi, I hope everyone is ok ❤️🙏🏼 Sorry if this is a ramble, but I just wanted to thank everyone who responded to my posts of despair following my last 2 failed egg retrievals. 2 egg retrievals, 19 eggs, and just 1 fertilised, including one ICSI round with total fertilisation failure. The consultant

Severe Lung Scarring from Pneumonia
Hello, I have posted about my dad who is in his late 70s in ICU for severe pneumonia here before, but here is the current situation. At the moment, he is stable and he is close to weaning off sedation completely and starting ventilator weaning (trachy) soon. His ventilator setting is O2 35%, Saturation

Very low AMH at 41
I am in a bit of a state right now as I was told that my AMH is 0.3 yesterday. I know a lot of ladies have success with low AMH but is there anyone who had a baby with own egg with such a low level AMH? Age isn't on my side either as I turned 41 this month. We are lucky to have a daughter I conceived

Paxlovid or not?
Hi, sorry for another covid post but I’d value your thoughts… My question: Anyone out there with CLL had covid recently and not used antivirals and recovered ok? Background: I’m down with covid for the third time in 18months… the first time (Feb 22) I wasn’t yet diagnosed with CLL and rode it

Latest Endo visit.... bit weird 😕 When all seems lost just say NO 😉
Started with being told I would have to drop my dose as not happy with TSH 0.05 talked all about this (T4 48% T3 95%) risk of heart and bone damage blah blah..... I pointed out that we had tried that before and it didn't go well for me... threatened to cut me loose if I didn't reduce! Continued to bang

Still waiting for over 3 weeks for urgent appointment
3 weeks ago, after several hours in A&E, I was told that I need an urgent appointment with my cardiologist. At that time, I was also just about to complete an urgent 7 day holter test. I rang my cardiologist's secretary on the next working day to request an emergency appointment as instructed to do by

covid (any benefit to azithromycin)
I posted at the weekend about hoping to secure anti virals as I had a significant exposure to covid. As expected I did get covid & feel very ill now. As also expected it’s unlikely I’ll get Paxlovid, despite some strong words with my less than competent GP. She has sent across a script for Azithromycin
