Hello everyone. I had a failed cycle on 27th September and now weighing my options as to whether or not take up further cycles. I’m 41 and deep down feel this journey is pretty much over for me but still want to give my best shot before closing my infertility chapter. My partner has very low sperm count hence we need to do ICSI treatment. The local clinic I found in the West Midlands had relatively low success rate (still don’t know why I chose them) but it was my first experience and didn’t know better. I’m reading reviews about Evewell with high success rates for older women and know CRM in Coventry is also a very successful clinic. Traveling to London can be hectic but if the chances will be much higher then I might consider it although I’ve heard CRM is also a leading clinic. Can anyone of you lovely ladies share your experience on this post if you know anything about them?
Lots of love and baby dust! Xxx

One of, if not the best in the country, is the Oxford fertility centre one (IN the hospital) - my mother had two rounds of IVF here (my sister was a very early IVF baby in 1988), and in the early 90's she was 43 years old, and had very little to no chance of conception, went to Oxford again - and had me! And that was in the 90's! I'm going through ICSI though my local NHS hospital because it's my free chance, but if that doesn't work for me, I'm straight to Oxford. Don't give up hope, 41 does NOT mean your fertility journey is over - look at Victoria Coren Mitchell who has just given birth via IVF, aged 51!
Hi Magpie. Thank you for your message, I’ll look it up and I know there are some lucky women out there who have success in advance ages and in sometimes wonder if I can be one of them… I know how important it is not to lose hope. I’m going away for a few weeks now but definitely tune in again when I’m back. I think a break will give me a clearer mind so I can decide what I want to do.
