Has anyone else had Covid and ended up with liver damage, acute kidney injury and nearly died from kidney and liver nigh on failure. I am just wondering if Covid can worsen internal organs, cause double pneumonia and I end up in a coma for nearly 5 weeks.
The main question I am trying to find out is if, after being diagnosed with a fatty liver, one can get Covid and two months later nearly pass away with decompensated cihrossis, and then after recovering from near death go to compensated cihrossis in the space of three months.
My liver function tests whilst in a coma and on a ventilator were off the charts. I developed HE, jaundice and ascites which i had never ever had any of this before. I am unaware of all of this as I was in a coma. This happened following a fall in which I broke the top of my neck femur. I had major surgery in hospital which was when I tested positive for Covid. I now have a titanium rod inserted into my right leg. The op was done using an epidural as they refused to give me a general anesthetic due to the Covid test. They said it was too dangerous to knock me out.
I went into a coma two days after the op. Initially diagnosed with sepsis then HE.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Golly

wow seems very strange to go to fatty liver then cirrhosis in that time span. I have read other peoples posts on different forums that they went from fatty liver to NASH from Covid
CoVid vaccines hit my liver hard. Bad situation for six months. But, had that not happened, I never would have had US, CT, Elastography & FibroScan. I had no idea I had cirrhosis from viral infections, pharmaceuticals & sugar fructose based NASH. The vaccine slammed me, but now I know & can try to slow it down.
Thank you. I never had CoVid, tested 4 times & no CoVid symptoms. My organs were attacked by the vaccine SPIKE. Took a year before things calmed down. Take care…
Hi again. I had my second Covid Jab a few weeks before my accident. I think about 3 weeks before. My right leg started swelling up below the knee and went kind of mottled. I went to out of hours doctors at about 10pm. Two doctors looked at my leg and sent me straight to a& e. They thought I had a blood clot. I didn't. I ended up back at a and e again shortly afterwards with the same problem and found out I had cellulitis (a life-threatening bacterial infection). They seemed to think it had been caused by an insect bite. I had absolutely NOT been bitten by an insect. I found that very strange. I don't think my leg had fully cleared from this when I had the accident as I kept being sick on the penicillin tablets. All very very strange. Thanks again. Best wishes Golly
My wife had a 100% normal liver prior to covid. She got covid in the first days of the world becoming aware of it. So early Jan 2020. We knew in late December 2019 something was up, as she had a horrific ear ache, sore throat. And then bam.
Due to not being able to taste food, or smell anything. (At first they blamed the meds they used) her weight dropped like a rock.
And she was admitted in Sept with Fatty liver, by Oct it was getting really bad. And, her liver was at 30cm. They said it was sudden onset NASH caused by rapid weight loss.
During this time, none of her LFT's ever went up. Only her Billi's were elevated.
The US showed a fatty liver with normal to mild echogenic texture. She bounced back, but passed on Jan 30th 2023 from Renal Failure caused by the use of Vancomycin.
