Pessaries
Hello all. I’ve never used pessaries before so not entirely sure what’s normal... I’m on a 14 day course of pessaries for thrush. I seem to be getting lots of discharge, and it (TMI!) gushes! I just feel it go! The discharge is always very much full of bits of pessary. Is that what happens?! I know

Help! Pessary problem!
The only pessary I’ve brought to work split in the pack - is it terrible if my progesterone pessary is a bit later than usual??

Induction booked 13th June no sign of baby 3 days overdue!
Hi everyone. Hope everyone is okay ❤️ No sign of my baby coming, we were convinced she would be on her way. Her head was so engaged they couldn’t take accurate measurements of her head on her last growth scan. She was weighing at 7lbs 10oz at 38 weeks + 4 days. Consultant was happy with her weight &

1/2 pessary fell into toilet
Night before ET and half the pessary fell into the toilet!! Gross I know but I took it out, rinsed and put it back in!! I didn't want to use a new one and have too much. Maybe the progesterone melted into the toilet already ... now I have too little. There's nothing I can do but has anyone else done

Cystocele prolapse
I've recently been told I have a cystocele prolapse, I'm 60 years old, my gp isn't going to do anything about it at present as it's not too severe, she did say if it gets worse, they can push it back with pessary ring, has anyone had this done? How long have people lived with this before having treatment

Query about prolapse
Hello all, I’m new here so have read some of the postings. I have small rectocele, cystocele and grade 2 uterus prolapse and small bowel prolapse and intuusception. I have it for about 14 years, and had physiotherapy and pessary fitting etc. The pessary helped a bit but was so sore having it removed,

Have the pelvic floor repair op done
Like a lot of you ladies I really didn’t want to be operated on so eventually tried a pessary. This donut shaped piece of plastic was inserted by a nurse at my GP’s surgery. She was great and it wasn’t that uncomfortable getting it put in. Unfortunately the next day it fell out. Apparently a lot of women

Womb and bladder prolapse

Feeling like a rubbish mum for failing at breast feeding.
Sorry for the long post but I really feel the need to air my feelings as no one in my family seems to understand. Can Graves' Disease present with lower urinary tract symptoms?
Hello, I was diagnosed with Graves disease back in May 2017. At the time I had a general feeling of unwell, a rapid heartbeat, nausea and excessive sweating. I was put on Carbimozole - my medication eventually lowered to just 5MG every other day, when I was told a month ago that as my levels were 'normal

Pessary induction
Hi ladies. I had a pessary inserted last night about 11pm. No contractions so far. It was the most painful experience of my life. I’m still in agony now. I cannot sit or move without a horrendous burning sensation down there. I asked the midwife to re examine as I thought it had come lose and she couldn

Thrush for over two months!
Hello all! I have had thrush now for over two months - since the end of January. I have had three swabs in that time and all keep coming back with thrush. I get heavy discharge, itching, some swelling. I also get back pain and some bladder irritation but not sure that’s thrush. After a month of the usual

Recurrent thrush
I’m 22 and I’ve had two episodes of thrush in the last 2 months. Yesterday started getting the symptoms again. It’s so frustrating. The first time was the first time I’d ever had it and went to the GUM clinic who did swabs. The nurse also suggested I get some canestan cream because the swabs take 2 weeks

Crinone 8% gel coming out (tmi)
Folks again I'm a bit anxious, I am 4 wks and 6days ( 16dp5dt) when I wipe there is lumps of tissue like stuff coming out. There is no bleeding and I know this is the pessary but is this normal or a sign of start of miscarriage? Id rather know if you think it may b a bad sign. It's just the pessary

Induction update
Hi ladies... I’ve been in hospital since Friday to be induced. First pessary didn’t work then the gel hasn’t done anything. Cervix completely closed. Suspected preeclampsia as my blood pressure is unstable and protein in my pee. So now booked for planned csection today. Can anyone share their experience

2rd Post Series Part 1
Drug action information and diagnosis In My post “Post 1 Part 3” I attempted to describe my thinking on the concept of Stress Breakdown Point. Graph 1 in the “Post 1 Part 3” post indicated that a small change in stress could make a lot of difference in quality of life for people with chronic health
