Recurrent thrush

I’m 22 and I’ve had two episodes of thrush in the last 2 months. Yesterday started getting the symptoms again. It’s so frustrating. The first time was the first time I’d ever had it and went to the GUM clinic who did swabs. The nurse also suggested I get some canestan cream because the swabs take 2 weeks to come back. The cream worked the first time and it was gone in around a week (then the swabs came back as mild thrush). 5 weeks later it came back but went away again with a pessary and cream. 4 weeks after that and now it seems that it’s back again 😫 Should I just go and buy another pessary? Really want to get on top of it this time!

(I’ve had lots of bloods recently due to an episode of (probably idiopathic) pancreatitis just after the 1st thrush episode. I did mention the thrush to my GP but they said it wasn’t related).

I had this issue a while ago and I spoke to my gp who prescribed a few pessaries for me and that got on top of it. I also find vagasil really soothing as well and stops me feeling so itchy and sore.
