Ovestin 1mg cream....anyone else on this?

Hi all

I have been prescribed this cream as I am lacking in estrogen down below.

(Something that was only picked up after again...I went to see someone off ny own back as I was gettin sore and having water infections...which GP was seen and they gave me the antibiotics but no answers as to why)

I admit I was always nervous when administering it (its a bloody big applicator if you ask me) especially as I have always had issues down below (smear tests were a nightmare for me)...yet I was doing fine...but surprizingly as it was improving...I was finding it more difficult to administer not less so...which I thought was rather backwards...and the last 2 times were somewhat sore...and have caused irritation in the form of thrush like symptoms.

My partner has said that it maybe that im not getting it in far enough as the lower section is ridged more now...but the higher section is still rather smoother...

My mum says maybe the cream is leaking down and so causing irritation and perhaps a pessary version would be better.

I dont want to stop woth the medication completely as it is overall helping dramatically.

I was just wondering what others experience have been and if they have had to be changed due to similar reaction over time.

Any information and/or advice would be greatly appreciated
