trying to get a diagnosis
Hi my name is Jane I am new to this site. I've had whole body aches for 20 years I am now 65. I have seen my GP on countless occasions regarding this but to date nothing has been done. I had a disectomy 2014 due to severe sciatica, and an operation for a prolapse bowel. I have arthritis in my thumb

Advice
I have metastatic breast cancer. I am taking Ibrance and fulvestrant. After a gastroscopy, I was diagnosed with an esophageal ulcer. The gastroenterologist prescribed me pantaprozole. After many studies and a call to Fizer, I discovered that Ibrance does not work fully with ppi. I do not know how to

Just a recap on my situation… 52 year old female under the care of a Haematologist for the last 2 years for platelets over 450. My latest platelet count is 486, the lowest it’s been since referral, prior to that 550-600. Negative for the three main genes. Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy all clear. Do have

COLONOSCOPY AND GASTROSCOPY TOMORROW
Hi everyone, having my first colonoscopy and gastroscopy tomorrow, to say I am stressed is an understatement, keep imagining all sorts of things, any advice on how to handle the anxiety would be greatly appreciated.

Bloating
Hi....I've battled with IBS for many years and following endoscopy and gastroscopy I was diagnosed with a lazy stomach. Dietary controls and careful eating seemed to keep things under control with minimal 'episodes' of wind, bloating and diarrhea. Fast forward a few years and following a prolonged course

Sue perhaps you can help me, I have been successfully relying on diet for years but RLS seems to be catching up. I am in Australia. Perhaps its simply a matter of getting older (currently 79) but a couple of other things might be a problem. I tore a hamstring muscle or tendon that apparently caused

Gastroscopy aftermath!
I had a gastroscopy yesterday evening. He went down into my stomach and small intestine. I've had a few of these in the past - the last one 20 years ago. I cannot remember feeling quite so bruised and sore as I did last night and still do. He took a biopsy and so I know my stomach will be sore and will

Abdomen pain - IBS
I have suffered with IBS since for 35 years and the pain was always on the left hand side and lower bowel. Had alternating constipation and diarrhoea but managed with occasional use of fybogel. For the last couple of years however have had terrible upper abdomen pain and bloating too. Have had gastroscopy

Monitoring
My husband was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis in 2019 when he saw a consultant. They asked for annual ultrasound and gastroscopy and gave him annual appointments. Due to Covid these were then done over the phone in 2020 and 2021. In 2021 they said the next appointment would be 2023 as he was still drinking

Odd pressure pain when sitting down or laying down on back!.
Can anyone else identity with this odd pain and discomfort.. its low down in belly all over like a heavy pressure feeling near to the surface. but no pain when I press in any part of the gut. Despite CT scans and colonoscopy/gastroscopy no explanation apart from some diverticulitis. Weight has fluctuated

colonoscopy update today
well the prep was easy and even the taste wasn’t too bad although I know there are different types. Hunger sparked a migraine this morning which prompted vertigo but took meds as permitted. BP low on arrival but had sedation and gas and air as felt I didn’t need to suffer more than I had too and the

CT scan instead of gastroscopy / colonoscopy with all PA tests normal
My Active B12 was just about into the sufficient range. My H Pylorii was negative, as was anti IFAB and coeliac. Homocysteine was fine too. My neurologist’s physical exam was normal ( though the sharp stimulus was a little less sharp on the feet. ) I have been taking sublingual B12 and the tingling

colonoscopy query
I’m scheduled to endure a colonoscopy on 16th January. We are booked on a flight to Thailand on 1st February (14 hours) . Guidelines say two weeks should pass before flight so in theory ok. However this is a trip of a lifetime for us, much delayed and all booked before this cancer worry. I’ve no idea

it’s not all asthma
I have only been officially asthmatic since 2017. I was diagnosed with cough variant asthma During that time I have had many courses of prednisolone and had a PPI added for acid reflux. This medication has been increased and my asthma medication added to and changed. In October I saw a locum GP as
