A Catastrophe
I have been burping too much, so perhaps I have
gastritis
. I often drink water but it doesn't go down as easily as it would before (the
gastritis
or CKD?). I have some headache. Is that an after effect of the antibiotics, or from CKD?

Autoimmune gastritis Vs AMAG/PA
https://pernicious-anaemia-society.org/b12deficiencyandperniciousanaemia/ This first article describes one cause of B12 deficiency (other than PA) as
gastritis
that is 'where the patient produces antibodies that destroy either the Parietal Cells or Intrinsic Factor or both.'

Hydrocortisone cream vs. pills
Following up on my post from yesterday… considering the hydrocortisone pills might be causing the stomach pain (maybe
gastritis
) and elevated liver enzymes. I need the hydrocortisone for secondary adrenal insufficiency. It’s the only way I can tolerate any thyroid hormone.

Update on my unusual body!
I had an endoscopy and I am now on tablets for
gastritis
, so at least other things have been ruled out, including the big C in the area covered by the procedure.

Betaine HCl (hydrochloric acid) for autoimmune atrophic gastritis low acid pain (have PA as well)
While researching I learned about HCl and asked her if I could try it - she wrote back to me saying that in atrophic
gastritis
, the pH is elevated so there is less acid and that HCl is not something she generally recommends but didn't think it would hurt me to try.

Hypothyroidism and PA connection
Two years this comin January I was diagnosed with autoimmune atrophic
gastritis
and then a year later with PA. Since then my TSH levels have been out of whack (most in the normal range). It is believed that now the Synthroid is not absorbing normally as it once did prior to the aag diagnosis.

Feel like giving up
I do have cervical spondylosis (mild), joint hypermobility, mild to moderate hearing loss, dry eyes/blocked meibomian glands and past gastroscopy revealed
gastritis
and erosions - but apparently most recent was normal - apart from mild reflux changes (Oesophageal biopsy).

Three years down the road. Question re gut health
Told gut health is not good at last endoscopy and have
gastritis
. Does this go hand in hand with PA. I can only think this is the reason for persistent fatigue and mood dips since everything else has been tested and I live a fairly healthy lifestyle.

Newbie here, tests/symptoms suggest PA or AAG
Today, after new test results came in, I asked my doctor to help me rule out autoimmune atrophic
gastritis
(AAG). If it's not that, it seems likely to be PA. Here's my story.
Possible neuropathy:
Wrist pain started when I was a teenager.

Stomach issues
It is a balancing process because with
gastritis
, I'm not getting vitamins absorbed by food. The gut sends signals to the brain. Which then send signals to the body. A somewhat vicious cyclce sometimes in my case,. Open to any suggestions. Sorry about the long rant.

Gastritis and Iron tablets
Following a recent blood test where the following levels were reported-iron 10 umol; ferritin 18ugl; tsr 15.3%; my GP wasn’t keen on giving me iron tablets said they could be “nasty” but didn’t explain the impact they could have on my atrophic
gastritis
!

NF Overeating question
Since that time I’ve been diagnosed with
gastritis
and have had nothing but anxiety troubles with my stomach since that time. My question is what are the chances the NF surgery “slipped” or came undone causing my issues? I’m desperate for advice or help regarding this. Thank you.

Prickly pains in abdomen
Three small columns of oesophageal varices and moderately severe portal hypertensive
gastritis
were found during my gastroscopy on 26th May. I've been having strange prickly pains in my abdomen for a few weeks now.

Internal Bleeding
Hallo :) On June 13th, I underwent a gastroscopy, which showed the presence of hiatus hernia and hypertensive portal gastropathy, as well as
gastritis
. Multiple duodenal biopsies were taken at that time, which were normal.
