Thyroid problems after gastric bypass
I had bypass 1992, had first thyroid surgery 2004. Only 1/2 was removed. In 2010 had other 1/2 removed, both times due to cancer. In 2011 I had gastric revision. I am finding now I am having trouble with leveling out tsh level. Did some research myself and found it could be due to not absorbing synthtoid

Struggling with my partner.
I had to have a
gastric
bypass
4 weeks ago because my acid reflux was so high. I own 3 pubs and between myself and my girlfriend (9 years now) we have 6 children (5 living with us) I found myself back to work in the pubs straight away doing basic stuff but a lot of driving around and repairs.

Come to the end of my tether!?
I am just about to turn 29, I have been overweight as long as I can remember and its going up and up. I am now about 24 stone and my BMI is 60, as I am only 5 foot 3. I have PCOS, underactive thyroid and depression. I have tried various options, lighterlife, weight loss tablets, diet, exercise and therapy

Determination
Just completed first week of the NHS diet plan. Found the plan very helpful and ( as usual) I have got off to a flying start, already shed 6 Lbs. By keeping to the plan and taking every aspect seriously I'm very pleased with the results. I spend ages searching for interesting low calorie meal plans

Weight loss surgery
She said that we could go ahead with the surgery in January, we discussed that I would have a
gastric
bypass
. I then saw a dietitian, I need to wait to see an anaesthetist, a psychologist.

Malabsorption and medication
Also I had a
Gastric
Bypass
roughly 10yrs ago, so I have malabsorption due to having a small stomach and usually can not absorb enough medication to work. Can anyone offer any words of wisdom please. Don't go back to Dermatology until November - do I just wait?

W9R3 Done - Only gone and graduated !!!
Well... with a tear in my eye I am very pleased to say that tonight I completed my W9R3 run and I still can't believe it! I started W1R1 at the beginning of September and I have always tried to run every other day, so I'm very pleased to have completed in about 8 weeks. I will never break any speed

Things go from bad to worse
Well I am not sure how many of my friends are still here from when I joined, but due to ongoing health issues this site has kind of slipped into the background a bit. The fibro these days seems to be the least of my worries, and now I realise not something I even think about that much anymore unless
