Consultant Appointment Questions?

Hi everyone - I’ve had two ablations, last one March 17, didn’t settle for a while, only feel some flips, shudders, Brady and tachy but not for any long length of time. I get tired too. But overall much improved. Two weeks ago was in A and E after having blacked out at home. Woke in night feeling very sick, lightheaded, lay on floor and blacked out while lying down. Felt sick for a couple of hours and heart shuddering. Used my Kardia and said possible a.f. Felt really unwell. Advice from 111 was get to A and E. Kept I. Till the evening, ecg ok in hospital, low Sats and b.p. Bad blood gases. The hospital reckon it could be a vagal nerve issue. I had damaged vagal nerve damaged during first ablation. Have had terrible headaches and exhausted and strong nausea. My Consultant wants to see me. What should I ask, get checked? My parents both had heart problems, dad had angina, heart bypass and my mum heart attack, a.f. and a massive stroke. Thanks for any advice. Fiona

Episodes of bradycardia and a blackout while lying down could also be due to heart block I suppose. But really I think you can be confident the doctor will know what to do as long as you tell him or her exactly what happened.

Thanks Oyster, yes you are right, sometimes my consultant can be dismissive. I think it is since he damaged my vagal nerve, I am his first one he has done that to, probably will be glad to see

the back of me!! 👍🏻

Yes, you are right. I’m being stupid. You will see my reply to Oyster, why I had some concerns over my appointment. Thanks for your reply.
