My struggle and I'm losing hope (long read)
Here we go. For a while I've considered joining a forum of some sort to perhaps find a bit of encouragement or to feel that I'm not alone. I was a chubby child once I reached maybe 8-9. About 2 stone (15kg) overweight by the time I was 13. I joined Weight Watchers and successfully lost 15kg (roughly

Gastric bypass and prostate cancer. May 22 2019.
I am once again going under the scope , A radical prospectomy 8/2019 currently keeping PSA non existent for one year with lupron and zytiga its been fantastic. Although several other health issues as a result of excess weight 100 lbs plus. Type 2 diabetes etc. All of my docs say move forward the benefits

Week 3
So I have just completed week three getting nervous about whether I am going to be able to do the next week. I am turning 50 this year and this is the first time I have ran. I have recently lost six stone following a gastric bypass.

Coming home from hospital today!
I had my Gastric Bypass and hernia repair on Sunday. During surgery I did not go into AF.... I’m now back on all my drugs but have to crush them for 6 weeks!! Heart seems to have withstood the surgery upheaval so I’m pleased... cautiously pleased!

Is eating all your calories important
On any plan I have followed it is always stressed to me that I must eat all my calories or points to lose weight. The issue for me has always been that because of my weight my allowances are huge in comparison to others and I struggle to reach those daily calorie goals without eating junk. My meals are

The weight Issue
Once again trying to lose weight, told my GP I needed help he tried to get me on a trial for a gastric band, but was refused and told to go on a diet. So my GP gave me Orislat but as I have a low fat diet they did not work. So booked another appointment with him, in the meantime I have spent money on

Hb1ac reading of 47 - should I ask for treatment
I have had a reading of 47 hb1ac for the last 2 years and my weight has increased by 2 stone over that period despite my diet not changing; due to a gastric bypass as I have not been able to eat sweet foods or large meals for nearly 10 years. Should I ask to start a months treatment of metformin. I

Any advice, tips and tricks?
Starting the couch to 5k today as I’m tired of my body shape. Office life has taken me from a six pack to a virtual planetoid. There are two major problems I’m facing which I hope someone with a soft touch might be able to help me with. 1. When I run, my gut bounces up and down and is very uncomfortable

How my AF started...
Question for all the very knowledgeable people on here: Background: I had a Sleeve Gastrectomy (weight loss surgery) in 2012. Extremely successful up until 3 years ago when I began to gain weight but I wasn’t eating more. Then I started having to force myself to be sick after eating just a tiny bit

Flutter, Ablation and Ablation
I received the fluctuation and AF diagnosis in May after gastric bypass surgery. After two long doses, volatile home with propofenon (2x300gdia), atenol (2x25mgdia) and eliquis (2x5mgdia). I'm asymptomatic, the Holter shows very busy extras all night. I have ablation scheduled for October 23. I'm very

About last night...
So my boyfriend and I went shopping last night, and i had a few outburts. I am almost 10 months post gastric bypass, and don't really know what size clothing I wear ( i pretty much live in scrubs due to work) so i get very anxious and nervous about buying any clothes, and I also hate spending money

POST gastric bypass with bladder leakage
I thought losing the weight would cure or help my bladder leakage. It has gotten worse. Had a bladder sling surgery 4 months ago. It seems to be worse. Urologist is not alking about putting a “stim” I. Either the heel or bladder to help control leakage. Anyone have that done? Results? Thanks

I need words, Wayne, for the live specialist
Dear Wayne, Please help me. I can not believe how intimidating it has become to see a specialist! I feel like I have to collect evidence and bring it before the judge! No kidding! I took your advice and asked to see a liver specialist. Remember, my only symptoms are right rib pain (feels like a tearing
