So I have just completed week three getting nervous about whether I am going to be able to do the next week. I am turning 50 this year and this is the first time I have ran. I have recently lost six stone following a gastric bypass.
Week 3: So I have just completed week three... - Couch to 5K
Week 3

You can do it , if you can loose 6 stone you can do anything. Slow and steady is what is needed. A hard week can always be repeated. But you don’t know till you try

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and you may find the link to the post about mental approach helpful.

Hey, I’m on week 6 of this programme. Believe me and many others - you CAN do this

On 1st January, I would have had zero chance of even running for a bus... just going up the stairs left me breathless and sweating. This morning I ran for 39 minutes! This programme is absolutely amazing, and each week prepares you beautifully for the following week.
The middle of the programme is a real turning-point... your body has started getting fitter but your mind doesn't yet believe it. In fact, weeks 5 and 6 seem to be more about the mind than the body really.
Have confidence in the ability you've worked so hard at gaining up to this point. You will be great!

Well done on completing week three, I start my week 3 this Monday. I wish it was today as it’s a gorgeous morning but a walk today will do. Can’t believe I’m wishing I was running on a rest day.
Well done on that operation and the weight loss too.
hi and well done, I too am due to start wk4 and worried about the 5min runs but know I will be so chuffed when I can...I have lost 2.5st with ww but none since I started this c25k....need to loose another 5....
I have just done my first week 4 run and oh my was it tiring. But also in ways not that bad! I started SW in Jan and have lost 1.5st but c25k is my way of filling some time NOT thinking about food and getting more active. If I'm running I can't eat right? Well done to both and good luck. I'd be keen to hear how your wk 4 runs went as well 😀
