Hi everyone, I am on a calorie counting diet and just completed week 1 of NHS fitness plan. I have lost 10lbs since 19 March, half when I was poorly and half on purpose. I would like to lose around three and a half or four stone. I spoke to a friend who had had a gastric band fitted and lost 30kg

Gastric Bypass and PBC
So has anyone else had gastric bypass? I have PBC and I'm worried if it will affect it negatively or positively. Also does PBC affect the thyroid?

Possible causes of Ataxia
🙂 This is a ‘long read’ and may be difficult to interpret, but never the less it’s interesting. What processes can cause ataxia? The pathophysiology of cerebellar ataxias is as diverse as the various neurological and systemic diseases affecting the cerebellum. Broadly classifying ataxias into genetic

HELP - bruise like patches across stomach...hernia, endometriosis or fibromyalgia?
Hi all, Am posting on a few different sites as I have no idea what this is, and I have a few medical conditions so crossing each path I can. So for background I have the following: Endometriosis Fibromyalgia PCOS Hiatus hernia (which is due to be removed via surgery with a gastric bypass this month)

Annual update, DNA testing, Gastric Bypass, Fungal Skin Infection, Brittle Nails, Looking for GI doc
So almost a year has gone by, now I am headed into being 47, still struggling with Dupuytrens in my right hand, but had the cataract surgery and things are looking "brighter" LOL. I recently did my DNA through 23 and Me, did not tell me much healthwise, but I did find out that I am 83% Irish and English

Gastric Bypass Surgery
Hi Everyone, I am looking for a small subset of this group. Has anyone else, like me, had any form of gastric bypass surgery? It along with PC adds additional issues physically and mentally. Hugs, Mark

Scared
I have been having extreme nausea which makes me unable to keep solid food down for a month now! It’s worse with stress I’ve been under. I’m on anti nausea meds but stress overrules it. My doctor is aware I had gastric bypass 25 years ago. But I’ve been purging also! I’m scared 😱

Has anyone considered a gastric balloon?

Think carefully...
Hi, please don’t think I’m dismissing anyone’s choice to have weight loss surgery. I’m not. I was in that position 12 years ago. I had my gastric bypass done on the NHS and I so wish I hadn’t. I hope the psychological support is better now, but it was almost none existent when I had mine, and the dieticians

Erleada Update
I have been on Erleada + Lupron + Xgeva since January 2019. My PSA has dropped from 13.4 to 1.4. I have had very bad nausea for 7 months. Nothing helped, phenegran, compazine or zofran. I also had gastric bypass 4 years ago. Protein intake was very important. I decided to change my diet. I have cut

Juicing
I want to start juicing, but It is a pain to run the juicer twice a day. Can anyone tell me how long can fresh juice be stored in the refrigerator? I am juicing super greens (kale, spinach, and some other stuff), carrots, celery, and peppers with lemon juice and what ever fruit I have on hand. I am still

Feeling long gone..... 🖤
I have been absent from here for soooo long. Where do I even begin......I have not been on here much, as nothing has really changed. Everything is the same or worse. I am feeling the depression and anxiety more now than I have ever. I feel like I have officially hit rock bottom now. Today I am feeling
