so I'm back to beginning....

im on 150mg of Levothyroxine and 800 ui of D3 .

My weight kept going up despite healthy life style it is so depressing.

so Im 120kg and on same dose as my 60kg daughter. one doctors says dose depends on weight the other said it doesn't matter.

Doctor wont prescribe T3 as its 'too expensive'. so i went and order one from Thailand which made me feel great and all symptoms stopped. however as expected doctor was not happy. so i stopped to prove the point …

but the point is i feel very ill and my blood test show 'correct'

TSH 1.090 (0.270-4.200) [uIU/ml]

FT4 1.60 (0.93-1.70) [ng/dl]

FT3 2.33 (2.00-4.40) [pg/ml]

I went to desperate measures and had gastric balloon fitted to consume 500kcal-1000kcal a day. i told them and the consultant wanted to see me in 6 months!!!

so I'm not in the situation i will listen do doctor who wants to see my every 6 -12 months and does not care i still have all the symptoms or i come back to my 'Thyroid tablets' and get my life back.

can someone recommend a specialist who can see beyond the simply blood test?

Your blood test doesn't show "correct", it clearly shows your conversion of T4 to T3 is poor, illustrated by your FT4 being almost top of range, and your FT3 almost bottom of range.

T3 is the active thyroid hormone, which controls almost every cell in the body and therefore the symptoms. It is essential to get it to the correct level and yours at almost bottom of range is much too low.

You could also increase vitamin D3 to 4,000 or 5,000 IU daily.
